I used cdisplay to read the comic files and 5 clicks to capture them onto my computer. I then imported them into windows movie maker. It was pretty simple.

I think it's funny people think Kubrick would have stayed FAITHFUL to the source... Kubrick wasn't ever faithful... He reshaped the story in his own image. And THAT's what people loved about him, because he did a damned good job at it, but he'd never be good at a comic book movie.

Agreed. As brilliant as the adaptations of "2001" and "A Clockwork Orange" were, Nicholsen in "The Shinning" was completely misdirected IMHO. It's possible that he would have made interesting choices, but they could have been the wrong ones. What if he were more interested in The Transformation of Dr. Manhattan (ala Dave Bowman) than The Deterioration of The Comedian & Rorschach (ala Jack Torrance), for example?

Watchmen is difficult to transfer over to the big screen...It's not your typical superhero story..I have a feeling a lot of people might be disappointed with it (if Snyder stays true to the actual thing which, judging by the trailer, he probably won't..Or at least not 100%) That's one thing I'll agree with Alan Moore on..It's probably a comic that's meant to STAY a comic. But I'm still interested in how it'll be interpreted in another medium. :3

Only the late Stanley Kubrick could adapt this graphic novel. If you think Zack Snyder is qualified fine, but I have seen Dawn/300 and I knew exactly what he was going to do, and the photos/trailer proved it. The book is suppose to be realistic, with little action and intellectual. The movie looks stylized, with lots of action, and I am GUESSING based on Dawn/300, that its going to be DUMB... as a fan of Alan Moore, I am boycotting this exploitation of the greatest graphic novel of all time...

I expect it will make lots of money, but I have standards and respect artists. Alan Moore isnt accepting a penny from this film. Thats a rare, authentic person. More talented than Zack Snyder could ever hope to be; directing music videos, REMAKING George Romero's Dawn of the Dead (which is better), ADAPTING Frank Miller's 300 (which is better)...Why doesn't Snyder try making something original, instead pissing on other people's work with Green Screens, CGI, Slow- Mo, oh I forgot, it looks "cool"

also, yes, maybe it doesn't need a movie, but i for one am happy that, because of this, Watchmen has hit #2 for Amazon and number 8 for barnes and noble. It's finally getting the recognition it deserves. and the movie won't destroy peoples mental characters because they are there in the comic. all this will do is let us see what Watchmen might have looked like if it were given life. even if it is terrible, Watchmen, i feel, deserves a shot to be forced into the eye of the unsuspecting public.
