my grandpa had an old case modle rc i think, im not sure of the modle but its not a dc, its smaller than the dc. we want to restor it and its in about this condition. how hard of a restoration is it compared to other things. i know the engine is loked up and its been sttin for many years. thanx
My dad had one of those when I was just a snot-nosed kid. It was in a bit better shape, though. That is, until he forgot to drain the coolant when storing it over a northern Minnesota winter.

Get a gallon can of WD-40 and mix with a gallon of diesel. Pour the engine
full up to the valve cover and let it sit, (plug up the breather tube). In about
2 weeks put a socket wrench with a breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley
bolt and slowly ease it clockwise-counter clockwise. You may only get an
eighth-inch at first but DON'T RUSH IT! It can make the difference if you will
have to hone the cylinders or not. GO EASY & just keep workin' it til you can
get a full turn.
