    I needed to take apart my ipod to replace the click wheel, and now that i've done that i need to put it back together; which i think is going to be more difficult than taking it apart. Do u have a video and or suggestions on assembling the ipod back together?

    Also, should i use an adhesive? and is so what type?

  • hi can u help me i dropped my ipod nano 5th gen and when i shake it the holder switch makes a rattling sound. will it escalate that the switch will eventaully come off

  • @dakkoss198 - It's hard to say without seeing it. If it is working fine, then it is likely another component (likely cosmetic) is loose and causing the rattling.

  • my ipod nano got water damage. i dried it out completely and did not power it on until i was sure it was dry.

    it did not turn on so i put it on the charger. it powered up and the screen and scroll wheel work great while on the charger as soon as i remove it it shuts off. do you think its a battery issue?

  • Got all the way to removing the ribbon cable from the screen. The clip was so delicate that I broke it with little force. Be careful. Bye bye iPod

  • hey, can you please help me? my ipod had a little trip to the washing machine (about 4 weeks ago). i tried turning it on like 3 times (stupid, i know), and i even plugged it to my pc (i know, i'm really really stupid). after i did that, the screen turned very dark, but i could still see the menu and stuff. but then it went totally black. now it's resting inside a bowl of rice, and i'm sort of getting desperate. could you please, please help me? thank you.

At first I could still see the menu display and everything, but it started to fade over time, now everything is just completely white (the screen is just white) I can still play music and all, but can't see anything. Also, I charge my ipod for like a day, and it dies faster (Like 1 hour or something) It usually last for a long time with out charging. What could be wrong with it?

  • I have replaced the LCD and glass screen, following everything you described. However now the iPod does not work. I have been extremely careful not to break/snap anything, however I did loose one of the screws from the bottom, could that be it?

  • @garry159 - Depends on how it broke. You could possibly get away by replacing the metal hold slide assembly, but most of the time the problem is with the logic board and requires a board replacement.

My iPod has worked perfectly untill last night. when I woke up, the wheel nor the buttons worked. It has been playing unstopable until it went low battery. Example: when u put the head phones in the ipod nano u can control the inside volume. when you take it out you can control the outer volume. both when I take out or put in my head phones I can only control the outer volume.   • @JoKeRheartzHaRLEy repairing an ipod is easy.. this video is very useful. If you can build a kit with lego you can repair an Ipod, trust me its that easy.... Take your time, dont force any parts, watch this video 4 or 5 times before you repair and pause and rewind when you repair..make sure you have the right tools first though. its easy.. trust me.. it will save you money as well

  • Very helpful instructions. The only thing I would be critical of, would be reassembly. It would be great if you would do the video both ways because sometimes getting the ribbon cables and other parts back on and back together is tricky.
