Just install virtual clonedrive (free, google it), and then open your ISOs with that. It works great.

@toontownantis1 I'm no expert on this stuff, but I think a CD-R is just for holding files like music, docs, stuff like that (except it's not writeable - that's a CD-RW). So you wouldn't really need to emulate a CD-R, you would just copy it's contents onto a folder on your computer.

@proletinkult It might be a problem with those dictionary programs...they might be detecting a virtual drive and want you to use the CD instead.

Not necessarily, most computers have 2 hard drives already installed, most likely C and D. C is for almost everything, D is usually for backup. Personally, I save all of my media (music, video) to my D drive and my programs and other files (and operating system) to my C. So, the answer is no, you probably haven't created it.

Now there's a better free program to use, called Daemon tools. Search it on google. it also makes vdrives and can automatically burn CDs onto vdrives

I have a question completely unrelated to the video! HUZZAH!

When I go to all programs in my start menu I have so many programs that it is full and I can't see any of the new stuff that I have installed. Is there any way to fix this or do I just have to uninstall some things?

Uninstall anything you don't need, of course. New stuff should be highlighted...and appear on the column most to the right at the bottom.

You would use daemon tools for your use. That is different though, that creates an image file of your cd. Daemon is just like Alchohol 120%, a very popular image creation program.

ok will somehow the newer games still wont allow it, something pops up and say please unmout... use cd only. its stupid. i looked into hacks , cracks. patch. whatever but it sucks cause game always have to update , put me into more time re-installing games. i am gaming with the newer gen games its pretty strict now, play and register everything and their own live program/ service, profiles

Iso file on a game cd? If so, copy ALL of the contents on the cd. You may have to change settings to make it a cd drive and not a hard drive...try looking around. Once your done, just go to my computer and click on the drive.

Yes! So say you wanted to try out linux; you could install it right onto a virtual drive, then delete the drive if you dont like it. If you do, then make sure to install it onto a real drive, like C. Im not sure about other OSs such as Windows.
