You can go about five months between touch ups. I can't think of a down side. This really is an amazing treatment. Please give me a call if you have any additional questions.
I am going to be in California and I want to get this done when my hair is a bit longer, I'm natural and since I've been I've noticed that my hair is a lot harder to take care of than I thought my hairstylist thinks its a 4a. I would just like to know any cons about this method as well as how many times would I need a retouch?
Well done, but the title is a little misleading in that even though your client is African American, her hair texture is not course and kinky. That particular hair texture has always been very successful/recommended for Thermal reconditioning, unlike 4b and 4c....in the past. Like I said, beautiful end result though!
@rizahovca Karen's hair is actually a little tighter than the before picture as we did try a keratin smoothing treatment (twice) prior which did not do much, but did relax it a tad bit. I would classify her curl as 4A. I trained with Gina Rivera at Hairstalent. You've probably seen her youtube videos on TR's for AA hair. We have done 4B curl type but it is not recommended for 4c. Thank you for commenting on my video.
The amount of body left in the hair depends more on the procedure and hair type than the formula strength. But yes, you can relax the hair and still have body without going perfectly straight.
wow this looks amazing! So can you dilute the formula so that the hair is wavy or loose curls instead of pin straight? because I'd do this if i could retain some natural curl
It is a permanent straightening treatment but a different chemical process than a relaxer. Because it breaks down the bonds in the hair differently, it leaves the hair stronger, healthier, shinier and in much better condition. If you have ever had a relaxer you will love this treatment. You will be able to grow your hair out without all the breakage you usually get with a relaxer.
how much does this treatment cost?

Is this like a relaxer where you're hair stays straight day to day?

Thank you, Gina. The hair is so much healthier with this system over relaxers. Clients are very thrilled as well!
