Haha. When I last did this, it was like; activate afro mode!! Lol. My hair is pretty thick,finicky and difficult to work with. Whenever i curl my hair with heat, it falls flat in an hour or so. But I have learned to work around it. Definitely a great method though, stays in all day! :P

I remember when my mom taught me to do this with paper bag. This seems less drying maybe. the paper bag was a little drying for African American hair.

brilliant! i recently bleached my hair and I had a holiday party this morning. I didn't want to put heat tools on my hair just yet so i put them up in pin curls after i hopped out of the shower and towel dried my hair. I expected similar curls in the morning but i guess my hair was too wet and i had only gotten 4 hours of sleep so my hair was still damp. fail. oh well lol.

I used to do this when I was little. I did a little different. After I took a shower with my hair still wet my mom would wrap my hair around a piece of paper towel up to the scalp and then tie it with a piece fabric. It was better to do this a night and sleep with it in. The curls in the morning look great.

I do this all the time! I learned a lot of tips from your video though! I used a stiff, short cotton, which got tangled and hurt. I alwyas didn't wrap them UNDER, so they always sort of fall out. Best tutorial ever!
