  • Been using this method every evening and then I sleep and take them out in the morning - WOW the curls look absoloutley amazing; had so many compliments.. Thankyou sooo much Krista xxxx

  • Are you sick ,Krista? your voice sounds raspy in here :( but I do love the vid!! :)

  • How do ppl get to these ideas? lol

  • y do u pucker up ur lips

  • I love this tutorial but a also love your makeup, can you please do a makeup tutorial, it looks so simpel yet romantic! thanks xoxo

  • Exactly how long are will these waves last?

  • your voice seems cracked

  • What song is this? It's adorable!

  • @wtfsonyasunshine If you just watch the whole video it just says what song it is ;)

  • no one else has asked this question so im thinking the answer is obvious, but still:

Do you need to use hairspray on this?

  • I tried this and failed. -_- I cant even tie the cloth to my hair, it just unrolls. Ugh

  • @reyesk12 keep trying!! it's so annoying at first but it just takes practice :) trust me, I definitely failed at first.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG <3

  • I like her tutorials but they are so long, may be some speed motion can be more dinamic

  • Haha. When I last did this, it was like; activate afro mode!! Lol. My hair is pretty thick, finicky and difficult to work with. Whenever i curl my hair with heat, it falls flat in an hour or so. But I have learned to work around it. Definitely a great method though, stays in all day! :P

  • i do rag curls differently. i just start at the bottom and roll up :)

  • i looooove your makeup! so nicee <3

  • in mich's one she didnt spin it backwards

  • I already did this and it was so amazing :)

  • hate how people keep comparing this to Michelle's version, this technique has been around for hundreds or years, and loads of youtubers have dont this tutorial, she isnt the only youtuber you know.

  • @onlyonekatie IKR its so annoying seeing ppl comment the same thing that she's copying! who knows maybe krista showed michelle this awhile back and michelle is copying krista either way PPL SHUTT UPP

  • This is easier to do on someone else:)

  • this turned out wonderful!!

  • Just finished knotting my hair up with the peices of fabric, and my Mom walks in, the look on her face, priceless <3

  • @LibbyMelon12 Same thing happened to me!!! :DD

  • can i use heat protectant or hair spray instead of water?? because my hair is curly and a bit frizzy. so when i decide to do soft curls on it i have to blow-dry it and if i mist water on it they'll get ruined!

  • I love your hair and ur background. live that mirror and color choices lol.

  • Why do you have to twist the hair to the back?

  • o.O

  • love the flowy hair effect that you did at the end. :)

  • I remember when my mom taught me to do this with paper bag. This seems less drying maybe. the paper bag was a little drying for African American hair.

  • Can it work if your hair isn't wet or moist?

  • @AcaiTiger

yes, but the curls get frizzy, and don't last as long.

  • @TerryVideoDiary what about using hair mousse, will it still work?

  • @winterx6

yes,it does! but the curls are more stringy!

  • I am intrigued to try this method because the only way my hair will hold a curl is when i use small rollers and leave them in my hair for hoooooouuuuurrrrrssss! so im hoping this will be an easier way that my hair will easily take to!

  • your soo beautiful :)

  • too much posing at the end.

  • I have to try this!

  • lol u could also do this with a paper towel

  • dont you just hate her voice? no offence or anything, i love the vid xx

  • harder than it looks! it keeps slipping off my hair ):

  • omg im wearing these right now but using 'rageaze' which are allready moist therefore you do it on dry hair- so excited to untie them in the morning:-D

  • i remember michelle doing this with brown paper bags she was very young back then :)

  • I think another term for these kind of curls is 'spit curls'.

  • i did this with slightly damp hair, and it failed

  • i do not advise it to girls with curly hair coz i tried it and my hair tuned into afro hair :/

  • love it!! thank u

  • how long do we leave it in??

  • Michelle Phan did a tutorial just like this, except she used brown paper bags.

  • @gymnasticsgal21 and it works soooo good. i've tried it on different hair types and it gives amazing results.

  • @gymnasticsgal21 I think Michelle learned this from Krista, hahaha!

  • @gymnasticsgal21 aaand another one, using a t-shirt. it's the video called 'eco-friendly beauty'

  • @gymnasticsgal21 actually she did also a new one with the fabric (its called eco-friendly beauty i think :))

  • @gymnasticsgal21 She did one like this too

  • @gymnasticsgal21 nope, michelle actually used another technique to wrap the hair around the paper bags

  • how long should i leave it in

  • i'm trying this now.. as i have super thick long hair i hope it comes out well!!

  • THIS MUSIC IS ANNOYING!!!!

  • Too bad you end up with awkward coils in your hair than perfect curls...

  • seems like a lot of work ill prob just use my straightener..

  • I hate the way you do that pouty thing with your lips!

  • you can totally use SOCKS instead of ruining a a shirt or rag . no need to cut just doo the same with the socks its all the same and comes out GREAT!!!!!!!!! but i do love this method (: <3

  • This is a lot like the Paper Bag method...

  • Your friend Michelle Phan did something like this wayy back in her old videos cept it was with a paper bag. :)

  • I'm 15 and I still make my bows with bunny ears... lol

  • When I see this types of videos on YT the hair ends to be perfect when I try it, my hair ends being washed again:)). Nevermind, I'll try this technique untill my hair will look perfect too.

  • @sparklycherryblossom Michelle used Hello Kitty paper bags.

  • I love this tutorial! :D

  • This would take a year to do with my hair. Its thick. Ugh..

  • OMG at 5:09

  • lol y does she keep doing tht weird thing with her lips?????

  • I thought some paranormal activity was going on around 5:12 when the hair seemed to move by itself and then I realized the video was going in reverse

  • wasnt this from michelle phan?

  • @SIKEEOO nope, its a little like hers. but it uses cloth instead of papers. :)

  • @kishamuch Michelle also used cloth

  • @sparklycherryblossom the video that i watched from her, she used paper bag :)

  • @SIKEEOO so only michelle know this>?

  • Hello Krista. I've noticed that my hair is falling out a lot and I was wondering is that normal? I mean people tell me that hair loss is completely normal because new hair will grow but I'm very worried, could you please reply D: or someone. I'm desperate

  • @val2161 50-100 pieces of hair is normal.. if more mybe u need to see a doc... or wear henna mybe.. henna is good

  • ha ha ha my grandma did it in 1930 th cus they did't have rollers ,she aso used sticks, sometimes she tied sticks to a cloth. in other words - everything new is well forgotten old :)

  • @archy0720 so true!!

  • Easy to do, but didn't worl at all!! Waste of time, and made my hair frizzy and weirdly shaped, better off using rollers

  • i dont have to worry about our electric bill :)

  • @atKrisatBradford Hey Krista, I love your videos! And please help me!!!!!

I recenly turned 18 and probably for over a year now, I've been losing hair. It really scares me, so please, could you help me/give me tips to stop my hair from falling out?! IM DESPERATE

  • @cx3pink it's a effect on IMovie when your can make stuff go backwards instead

  • @EmmaSunnyLee probably just a fan. Haha I was freaked out too!: )

  • How long do you think I should keep those in?

  • I am doing this before I go to bed, my hair is all up right now. Hopefully it comes out just as pretty as yours in the morning! :)

  • its so funnyhow this title says curls when they are waves and your curling video says waves in the title.

  • Yah, I tried this, and I can't go out in public like this.

I can't be the only person who got an afro...

  • I got a little confused, when I saw her hair move first, towards the end, then I realized it was in reverse... lol.

    Very nice tutorial though!

  • OMG!! This is awesome. I'll try it hopefully.

  • y do u keep doin that to ur mouth....?

  • i did this...and I have naturally curly hair-____- oh well i loved how it turned out Lol!:)

  • What is this song?!

  • Hi, Krista. thanks for the video. The only question i have(which the majority of girls who tried this method out have I guess) is: how LONG should i wait before taking out the material out? Like where is the line between getting gorgeous curls and getting an afro? I have left the material in my hair for a night and in the morning i had to wash it cuz what i got was the explosion on the spaghetti factory.))) So how long exactly did YOU wait for the hair to dry? thnx in advance.

  • 5:05 - 5:15 Freaked me out...why was her hair moving on it's own o_O

  • you sound sick lol

  • how come you don't work with michelle and christelle anymore?

  • @hipandclassy07 Yeah, it's like they switched her with that very funny david guy!

  • @hipandclassy07 most fans on Michelle's channel told her to make her own channel so sh dosnt work with hr

  • I love how I was just listening to this song, and I watch this video & it has the same song :)

Your hair turned out amazing, I'll definitely have to try this out.

I hope mine doesn't turn out like an afro as others' had.

  • Do you put any products in before or after?

  • @ysabelaster watch Michelles eco friendlly beauty video... Youll be proved wrong.

  • it's just like Michelle's tutorial but using fabric instead of paper

  • More hair friendly videos, i love this one!

  • :( poor Krista - still sick! Lovely as usual though. Thankyou! X

  • this is fucking hard for me to do! sigh >.<

  • this works for curly hair too?

  • brilliant! i recently bleached my hair and I had a holiday party this morning. I didn't want to put heat tools on my hair just yet so i put them up in pin curls after i hopped out of the shower and towel dried my hair. I expected similar curls in the morning but i guess my hair was too wet and i had only gotten 4 hours of sleep so my hair was still damp. fail. oh well lol.

  • Could u please do a video on how to keep your curls overnight?

  • i love you! you are amazing!

  • Gorgeous!

  • Could you do it with something else than fabric, cause i dont think i have a old tshirt..? X

  • @MissAzarina you can use a paper bag or any type of material as long as u can cut it into strips

  • @MissAzarina socks would work :)

  • i try this and it works for my!!

    it's so amazing,i love this!

  • You have a wonderful smile. :)

  • DRINK SUM WATER ! xD

  • she has such amazing teeth! (:

  • cool. gonna try this <3

  • I tried it and they turned out great!

  • i tried this and its realyyyy hard... it didnt work for me

  • When do we get to find out who wins the hairclip contest.

  • THIS IS SO HARD

  • I used to do this when I was little. I did a little different. After I took a shower with my hair still wet my mom would wrap my hair around a piece of paper towel up to the scalp and then tie it with a piece fabric. It was better to do this a night and sleep with it in. The curls in the morning look great.

  • Mine came out like an Afro.

  • @JustGlamorouslyAlive Mine too. I made it one year ago when i had to write my exams so I had to flat iron my hair because I looked like and idiot xD

  • @JustGlamorouslyAlive wooooow!!!! kuul!!!!

  • @JustGlamorouslyAlive GAGAAAHHAHAHA

  • @JustGlamorouslyAlive That's funny.

  • Dammit! It is a lot harder than she makes it seem! :'(

Her's are sooo beautiful! I guess that's what you get for being a professional.

  • you sound a little sick

  • I tried this and it didn't look anything like this. -.-

  • @brittneygurl99 Isnt that the truth! Its crazy how the beauty gurus do certain techniques or make-up looks and come out flawless. We do it and its all over the place. No bueno! D:

  • Those curls are gorgeous! love it!! thanks!

  • beautiful look!!

  • how many sections did u do?...do u recommend...?

  • pssh, i'd wear it in the bows...

  • Love ittt!!

  • 5:07 scaryyyyy :3 Love this techniek!

  • amazing! but what's wrong with your sound ?!

  • Wow cool! Thanks for the vid!

  • Nice video Krista! I like how you faded the music in and out so we could listen to Mindy's gorgeous voice while you were not talking. You are improving so much in the technical aspects of your videos.

  • where did u get that black round mirror??????

  • The cloth alone looks so pretty on the hair.

  • ure amazing!

  • amazing! I just realized I have the same shirt as you just in gray

  • haha i'm going to hire you for my wedding :P

  • i remember michelle phan's paper curls :)

  • come be my personal hair stylist? :)

  • i failed :(

  • You have such manageable hair. So lucky. ):

  • She's so pretty she can pull any hairstyle off!

  • i remember this, except michelle used paper bags but she didnt twist the hair,(:

    love this(:

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you for the tutorial, im going to try this tonight :) oh and whats the name of the song playing?

  • beautiful!

  • 760 views.... that's new

  • i love her smile

  • Did you get a haircut?.. Btw. I LOVE THIS LOOK :P

  • I do this all the time! I learned a lot of tips from your video though! I used a stiff, short cotton, which got tangled and hurt. I alwyas didn't wrap them UNDER, so they always sort of fall out. Best tutorial ever!

  • i love your lace shirt

    were's it from

  • Love this... definitely trying!

  • Do I have to straighten my hair first?
