  • Federer JUST refuses to panic!

  • lolol @ the random guy dancing at 8:22

  • "..the sheer greatness of these two players"? Where was Murray's greatness? He didn't do shit.

  • Federer lost this match...

  • @911801111801 But he saved 7 match points in one game. It's enough ;)

  • People should never doubt Federer and his magic

  • hahahha 8:18

  • @smithy262626 what are you talking about, you just made me laugh.

  • @kelman221 apologies for my rudeness, but I get very angry at people who hate Murray :/

  • why does it look so awkward when asians do hese things? Around 0:55 i think

  • And this is what makes Federer a class apart! Much love and respect to possibly the greatest man to ever play tennis!

  • who won????

  • @asdafasable Murray won this match.

  • The fed-express chugs on to victory

  • save 7 match points and lost the match

  • notice how:

federer wins a point = deafening cheer

murray wins a point = lil cheer

federer loses a point = 'awwwwww'

murray loses a point = cheer

    *conclusion: everyone hates murray

  • @liedetecter2000 YEE! thats how we chinese roll! :D

  • @liedetecter2000 rather everyone loves Roger

  • @229darpan yeah. i guess thata the main point. but i also need to say how much ppl dislike andy murray

  • yaaaaaa dancing dude at 8:17

  • the 3 people who disliked this video got confused by the pure amazingness of Fed and pressed the wrong button out of disillusion.

  • he only saved 5 match points, 2 advantages were for him.

  • who won the match?

  • The best tennis player ever!!!!....Master Federer!!!..

  • Federer is a lot better. The end.

  • yes, you can save 7 match points, but if you dont win the match.... it doesnt matter, isnt it, Federer?

  • are atp world tour 250, 500, 1000, and finals shown on tv? where can i watch them? i want to watch all of federer's matches

  • Federer had backpain and tries to fight throught it, Djokovic gives up. You make the math...

  • And you wonder why Murray can't win a major.

  • well done to Roger for hanging on, but sometimes not giving up or calling the trainer when you're in pain is irresponsible and you put yourself at great risk... who knows what could've happened to Roger for doing that for such a long time?... still, he's the best, I hope he takes this US Open seriously and finally wins another slam

  • what do you mean? he is playing a game in a set in a match

  • How can Federer be so calm?! I mean the pressure that crowd is making is inceredible, especialy between the first and second service. On his place I would make all double faults, so well done Roger! You realy are the king of tennis! ;)

  • Watching Murray in pain makes me feel good.

  • @kelman221

but in the end Murray won !!!

  • @kelman221 That's funny dipshit, because Federer is really the one in seriousy pain - not Murray.

  • @ArjunJethwa I do not care about Federer's pain in this video, besides I am sure it hurts Murray more to not be able to put the match away then than Federer trying to come back from behind (mentally).

  • @kelman221 why?

  • @federergreatest For whatever reason I don't like him and the way he acts. But at least he finaly beat Federer.

  • Federer had back issue , he was struggling especilly on serve and on volley ; i watched live ;

  • I counted 5 match points ???

  • 8:18 wtf

  • hahahahahahah Commentator: And right here, for the seventh time, Murray has a match point, and a chance to end Federer's reign" *ace* Commentator: "......what more can you say"

  • i am british but i detest murray. His popularity is a presumption by the media: he is widely hated and ridiculed. He is MUCH more disliked than liked.

  • my arms hurt

  • he should've won this game

  • Its so funny when Murray challenge the crowd was yelling "in!in!in!" for Roger.

    lol

    Poor Murray.

Shanghai people hold no love for him....

  • @orangekeita Funny when they cheered him considerably louder when you watch the Shanghai 2010 final with Murray and Federer.

  • Is Roger injured here ??? at all ???

  • @Fyuesiy Yeah had a back problem, just look at how he dumps all those serves into the net...

  • @Abbasi123456789 And what about the ACES?

  • 2 dislikes:

    1. Nadal

    2. Murray

  • @RobertPaulDoran They don't have youtube accounts

  • @RobertPaulDoran nah not nadal prob murray and his mum

  • Honestly, Master Cup is like the Roger Federer's home town, everyone loves him there, Shangnai or London, still remember the match between Fed and Nalbanian where Federer was a break down in the fifth set (they still play best of 5 back then) and Roger had a slight ankle injury, the whole stadium was like chanting Roger's name........

  • @xKing7domx He wasn't just down a break, he was down 4-0 and came back to force a tiebreak.

And here, Roger SHOULD have retired but he doesn't because he is a true fighting champion.

  • @3timeMVPNash Exactly. He never quit a match, even if he was in pain. It would have been easy for him to give up at 0-4 in this match or against Nalbandian at the Master's 2005 (same score) but true champion he is, he fought back and forced a tiebreak in both cases. Other "champions" call the trainer, then quit...

  • @Bostero3771 AMEN

  • @Bostero3771 the same as Nadal, both are true champions, as in Roland Garros this year... 5-1 was Federer

  • @yogu17 Score was at RG 5-2, not 5-1, it was Nadal's serve and it was the first set.... we are talking about being down 0-4 in the 5th, two breaks down and when your legs are simply not there anymore.

  • @Bostero3771 aham, okey, so.... you can see Guillermo Coria v Rafael Nadal Rome 2005 Final and tell me the end of the match

  • he know he doesn't have much chance to win the match, but he still go for it. What a spirit, what a champion.

  • 2008 was not a very good year for Federer, you all got to love the perfection he had in the 2007 and 2006 season :) And I don't think Murray is a very good player, his mom has putting so much money on the guy and he always blow it a way by shitting in every grand slam.

  • @BlakkLining seriously, I know Fed, Nadal and Djokovic are all better than Murray, but saying he isn't a good player is over the top. He's in the top 4 and has been there for a while for a reason.

  • @IIApocalypz3Xx he's good, but i don't think he 's talented, not enough.

  • What silly person disliked this video?

  • Don't care! Murray won the match

  • awesome !

  • Man it takes balls to serve and volley on match point...

  • Roger Federer is absolutely incredible! He fought on even though he had back pain, he is the greatest player of all time.

  • murray disliked this video...

  • 1 dislike -Murray!

  • what extravagance to hit a forehand on the line like he did at 5:58

boy, it's such a heartache seeing him so tormented, eyed down and weary :(

  • Did u see the forehand at 1:20 ? Quite .. NO STRENGTH at all ~

  • We hate Murray's mother!!!

  • 8:17... Who in their right mind would be acting like this right now?? I guess he was driven crazy by all the tension.

  • Great shot of the match easily at 8:17

  • Murray is the one person that disliked this video.lol

  • hi, everybody , first of all Federer he is the best and will still be even if he lost this game, he looks really badly, look at his face ,look at his body movement it is very obviously not normal, he is in sever pain , but his proud will not let him accept to loss very easily, so god bless you federer for all this effort that you give it for your crowd, to me you are the winner what ever people say.

  • Murray working hard in 10+ shot rallies to get to match point, then Federer saves it with an ace, lol

  • @89Pleasek I would be frustrated if that was me. But it's funny as hell when you watch it happen to Murray =]

  • Most commentators are somewhat biased, especially Argentinian and many South American ones. Same goes for the British.

  • @botpatch1 no no not to that degree. with all respect to Andy :)

  • wasnt this is day when federer was affect from his sickness thing mono?

  • Did Rog win that match? That would have been AWESOME had he won it.

  • i love how he misses a ton of his first serves, that just shows how nervous he is!

  • @noobsdumb - It shows how HUMAN he is too!

  • @noobsdumb its also cuz of his back pains

  • wow, my bad is hurting just by watching this!

  • its like he enjoys saving these huge points and savoring the moment when he does

  • What a match, Murray ended up winning as he did usually do in 2008 ,was something like 3 or 4 -1 Andy that year against Federer

  • roger lost this match

  • I have heard that Federer was in beginning of his career serve and volleyer...Therefrom are those great volleys.

  • @WivoStar 16 grand slam?! k

  • lol @ 8:20

  • murray is squat federer is the man

  • There is no greatness of Murray. he is just a big child. His bodylanguage is terrible.

  • who won the match ?

  • @whatelseisold murray

  • god u can tell how much that mono effected him even in this tournament he doesnt look well. he bak now though : ).

  • I agree, that 'underlines the sheer greatness of these two players' comment is quite ridiculous, almosty an insult to Federer haha... And that's one of the problems with British media and culture, I feel sorry for Murray trying to make him think he was already going to be a real Champion beforehand;-)

  • by looking at roger in that final set it seemed like he lost confidence...it was prooly his back hurting....rushing the ball and trying to shorten the points

  • his back was hurting of corse he wanted shorter points

  • at 6:13 when ball is in the crowd goes crazy x)

  • roger looks unwell !!!

  • "the greatness of these two players.." I mean c'mon what is the "greatness of Murray? these two (with all respect to Andy) are incomparable!

  • Well, what do you expect from british commentators?

  • Well, it certainly can't be worse than americans.

  • Sorry, but British sport commentators are the worst when it comes to this sort of hyperbole directed toward fellow Brits. Wasn't henman supposed to have been the great British tennis savior before Murray?

In general, however, all sports commentators throw around the word "great" too easily. It should be reserved for proven champions who have won major events consistently. Federer is clearly one of the greats. Murray is merely a good player, one who has potential, but nowhere near great yet.

  • @mysteriekiller face it, McEnroe (both John and Patrick) would never ever say anything as asinine as these two bullshit commentators would.

  • @devillived let's say sheer chauvinism ?

  • @devillived No one like or dislike this comment anymore, I like the number

  • @devillived That's just racist.

  • @honynakhal I would tend to agree. Murray, the fucker has yet to win a slam. He is not great by FAR. Federer is a different league and always will be.

You brits need to wake the F up and smell the coffee. It didn't happen with Rusedski or Henman and it aint happening with this scottish turd.

  • @honynakhal murrays got a great personality unlike the arrogant swiss.

  • @nguyenimproved I didn't mention personalities. I said what I said according to their careers.

  • @nguyenimproved u know nothing faggot..federer arrogant??? then u know nothing...

he is the most humble tennis player of all (nadal tries to be humble 24/7 but is pretty fake)..federer is jz pure class not only in his game, but to the crowd, charity and to viewers who watch his game

  • @honynakhal Murray beat Roger more than Roger beat Murray just to let you know...

  • @aznboi1398 just let you know, even though Murray is leading the H2H record, Federer still has much more champion‘s heart than Andy Murray will ever have. Letting alone what Federer has achieved and what he has done to Andy Murray in the MOST IMPORTANT occasions. i.e grand slams and the end of year championship!

  • @aznboi1398 well thanks for letting me know, but let me know how many Grand Slams Murray has won and how many title he's got. These two are incomparable

  • @aznboi1398 And how many grand slams Murray has won? Well I can't even count with my both hands the number of grand slams federer has won so far. Murray? I don't even need to have hands ...

  • @honynakhal Who Is A Legend ?

  • @honynakhal well, murray managed to get 7 match points against federer... i dont think thats easy to get

  • fed may hav felt like the biggest peice of shit ever at this moment, but this is just pure experience and class. too good.

  • Really proud of Roger!

  • Happens with everyone.

  • the crowd hates murray and i love that

  • murray is such a prick

  • there's only one match where i've questioned federer's fight- FO 08 final, where he had the worst day of his career. I wondered about it vs Djokovic in the AO when he faded but he still made a fight of it in the 3rd set, and I wondered if he'd last vs Nalbandian and he almost came back to win from 5-0 in the 5th. And he's come back from 2 sets down 3 times this year alone! And he was never going to give an inch in the Wimby final. greatest of all time!

  • so, who won in this match?

  • lawl @ the guy at 8:18

  • everytime roger has lost it because of a health problem and at the same time novak djokovic wins those tournaments where roger due to his health problems hes not playing like hes used to do clear examples australian open 2008 ( due to mono ) master tennis cup 2008 ( back injury ) and murray ..well hes always failed when it matters
  • very true and when roger got to the semi in australia people talked so much crap and I was like dude he just got to the semi while recovering from mono I'd like to see kobe bryant play a game to see if he can last like roger did

  • sure they can give him a test, especially as he's getting older, but still, if they beat him on form and healthy, i'd give them all the credit in the world. and i'd never question their effort, with murray chasing down every ball, although maybe djokovic isn't too consistent with his. And DP is in that list, although i'll be convinced if he beats Fed a few more times. and again, an onform/healthy fed has never lost to either Murray/Djok, and has crushed them a few times.

  • I don´t think we can judge federer´s health conditions, only roger himself or those close to him, can really judge his physical/mental state, murray and djokovic have beaten federer this year and roger looks clear of any health issues this year, he played very well at the australian open, I think novak and murray have deserved wins over roger, maybe it´s difficult for you to accept that, if roger is your favorite player..

  • well if you look at his form (not health) at the time of his losses, he clearly wasn't playing well, errors, low serve %, the lot, as well as not winning a title until May, yet still kept it close, never losing in straights, but its obvious to any viewer, fed fan or not, that he wasn't playing near his best. Ex. the match where he broke his racket vs djokovic. If they do beat him when he's on form, i'll happily give them credit, i do like djokovic as a player and admire murray's defense.

  • what about matches like montreal in 2007? when roger lost to novak, roger was in form then, just an example, the competition has gotten better, I think that´s why roger is losing more often, he doesn´t have the same dominance he had on grass/hard court´s, like he did from 2004-2007 era. maybe he´s playing better again, because he broke the slam record and has nothing else more to prove..

  • montreal= 48 unforced errors from federer. and still took a set and barely lost 2 tb's. hardly in form but it's his own fault that he played like that, and djokovic played well to get the win and beat nadal before that. so credit to him, but it's not the same as nadal beating him in AO/Rome/Wimb/etc.

And sure he is still dominant, he's barely losing these matches, and i agree the competition is better, the top 10 is incredibly strong now.

  • seem´s like you believe that roger is the only one who deserves to win everything, that seem´s pretty unfair in my opinion..

  • I gave you evidence (48 errors) why that match shows that Federer was on bad form, obviously Djokovic deserved to win it, I just correctly pointed out that Djokovic hasn't beaten an onform Federer.

  • and roger hasn´t beaten an in form rafa on clay, so touché, we could do this all day..

  • Perhaps. I might give you that, very reluctantly. There's a difference though. Nadal off-form is still the best clay courter of all time. He still won't miss. He still fights at the same intensity. His bottom level is still incredibly high. Federer off-form will miss 50 times in 3 sets. Also it's not quite a win, but Fed did have 2 matchpts in Rome.

  • no question that rafa is still the best on clay, the match in rome was epic, but I still think you setting the bar way to high for a roger federer fan..give the guy a break, he´s not a machine..

  • lol fair enough, it is hard to remember that he isn't a machine, with the semi-streak still going etc. he was before though!

  • Hewitt + Roddick + Safin = 5 slams

    Murray + Djokovic + JMDP = 2 slams.

As i said, the LEVEL HASN@T IMPROVED NOR GOT WORSE.......i never said the level of play was better you tool.

Then i went on to say that Nadal was the only challanger to Fed that actually improved.

  • Comment removed

  • Read the 27th quote - that was for you, not the one above you.

  • u are missing a big point here, the first trio u've mentioned will never win another slam, but the second one could win many more, especially with djokovic winning the last one. It is way too early to say that none of them will improve even further, when its apparent that djokovic f.e., like federer is a kind of late bloomer, and we have yet to see the best of him. nadal has developed earlier then those guys, and he has already reached his maximum, but with his playing style

  • its going to be nearly impossible for him to retain such a high level of play on a long term basis

  • I honestly have doubts now to whether the competition is stronger. I think the level has stayed the same.

Prime hewitt,Safin,Roddick v murray/djokovic.JMDP is very close in terms of quality.

But, i think Federer's dominance came to an end briefly because he played people who are just bad matchups and get to work on every point.

So i think the quality is the same but the matchups are completely different........

  • You didn't mention Nadal who's accomplished more than those 3 combined at 23. Secondly, JMDP has only just reached his prime this year, and he's 20. You also didn't mention those close to the top 5- verdasco, tsonga, simon, gonzalez etc. all much better than those on the outskirts of the top 5 when hewitt/safin were up there. Besides hew/saf, you had agassi and then ferrero/moya who didn't contend in the same way the top do now. The quality is much better now, and the young players are too.

  • Probablt because Nadal is the only person who actually got better since 2005. I'm just saying that the level of play is the same IMO.

People will look at results but you will have to look deeper than that. Nalbandian for example, is one of the closest players to Federer but hasn't won a slam.

oh yeah and STFU as well because you're chattin' shit.

  • listen up asshole, conveniently forgetting Nadal already put your argument in the shitter. the level of play is obviously not the same, you can't name me more than three semi-contenders before this current top 10 came around, and why don't u look deeper than that? it's up to you to prove that the quality is the same. The top 10 now is full of all-surface all-round players, and players who are in their prime NOW.

  • I'm done talking to you.

  • I don't know how i'll be able to sleep tonight.

  • i'm still waiting to hear how the field was better back then... or do you give up already? kids' stuff.

  • you can see that his back is not ok by the way he was serving...if you are used to watching roger playing you can notice that he is not bending like he usualy does...

  • wasnt roger still recovring from mono?

  • well, there might have been aftereffects... one can argue that there are still aftereffects.. but his back problem was the main thing that day

  • oh thnx for the info

  • federer lost because his first server was just not there that day

  • what a fighter!!! go ROGER!!!!

  • I know!!! amazing!!!! we love you Rog!!

  • omg!!!!!!!!! It's awsome.

  • Oh I'm so proud of Rog!!!!!

  • congratulations to Murray for having "won" this match...Federer was one step before hospital with his back problems, and this stupid man is shouting at every point he gets...he won only because Roger had a back problem...

  • Precisely. Compare this dedication with Djokovic who retires time after time because of "sore throat" and "the heat". Goodness.

Roger is just pure class. He looks so listless; the pain must have been intense. And the crowd knew it - cheering him all the way. Un-fucking-believable.

  • @guanyinmiao Exactly.. look at his serving motion and how many times he dumps the ball into the net.. it must have been SEVERE back pain.. I don't know how he can just hide the pain like that.. it is simply amazing. You can see how casual he is hitting the ball as if he is on a practice court. Then when he has severe pain in matches against big players like Soderling or Berdych people talk so much trash.. then RF just destroys them in other matches.. 09 AOpen vs Del Potro then 09 US Open...

  • @guanyinmiao how can u talk like this about djokovic he's one of the biggest fighters in the game as we saw at the usopen semi- final this year!!!!!and who is the man who said he had "physical injuries"when he lost to berdych, but there was just no way for him to win this match beacause berdych was just too good and he still talks about luck and his injuries come on!!

  • @gasquet4ever1994

seriously? you're comparing djokovic who is just 1 US open short of a career grand slam retirement to at 23 federer who at 29 is without a single mid-match retirement anywhere

US open 2010 semifinal match was, if anything, un-djokovic like in the sense that for once he showed some heart

with that still, djokovic is still the earliest quitter when he's struggling among the top 4 players

losing is nothing, not-quitting is true character

  • @foul01 "career grand slam retirement" LOL that would probably be a record never to be beaten haha

  • I was crying when watching this game. I'm really proud of u Rog!!!

  • Me too!

  • i don't want to make excuses for fed but murray's mostly ever caught him playing badly, in the midst of injury or recovery, or in a meaningless tourney. when Federer was on form after the semi vs Djokovic at the US, he crushed Murray. In this match federer relied on pure heart and barely lost, and afterwards Murray was too exhausted to fight vs. Davydenko.

Federer has the definite edge in the big matches, the best of 5's.

  • even though murray won

it will be remembered for the greatness and courage federer showed

  • i tried to upload this game a couple of times, but yt deleted it always; i wanna say: yes this is unbelievable, 7 matchpoints and this tennis is from another star!!

    thanks
