  • I would have named the plant Viola. :3

  • I'm thinking about joining the Peace Corps and going to the Ukraine in particular, did the Peace Corp provide you with this apartment, it's very cute and I hate to sound close minded but do you feel safe over there? Is it scary? Any info you have would be great (:

  • @kiddwiffplugs That's awesome that you are thinking about joining the Peace Corps. I recommend that you check out their official website for lots of information. Every volunteer has completely a different experience - and you don't really get to pick the country you will work in. If you'd like, send me an email elisemstephens@gmail.com, and I can answer more of your questions.

  • Wow! Your apartment looks great! I'm about to head out in September. Anything you recommend bringing?

  • @lilfriedman42 Thanks! A lot has changed in it since last year, its funny for me to watch this video. If you want - email me any questions you have about coming elisemstephens@gmail.com, and I can help you out as best I can. Its hard to think of things off the top of my head!

  • Hey, I'm currently a History major and I'm thinking about joining the Peace Corps after I graduate. I still have a few years until then, but I was wondering if you have any recommendations to prepare oneself for the experience.

Also I loved the video :)

    Thanks for any help

  • @BenLBroadfoot Hi Ben, I am a PCV in Moldova, a neighboring country of @elisemstephens. I have a BA in History. The best thing you can do is volunteer with a Non-profit in your area. PC has no programs specifically with History, but if you have teaching experience than you'll find a program: English Education or Health Education (my program) are two examples. Talk to a recruiter, and they can give you a better idea. You can find your local recruiter on the PC website. Good luck!

  • Great video! How'd you bring a printer with you and stay under the Peace Corps weight limit?

  • @hppavilionf50 Actually, I didn't bring it. I bought one here. It wasn't terribly expensive, just took a bit of budgeting that month.

  • @elisemstephens Oh, ok. Thanks!

  • You have an amazing place! Can't believe you have high speed internet! I'm leaving for Ukraine in March and I hope I find a place like this

  • @veh213 Awesome! Will you be coming with Peace Corps?

  • @elisemstephens sure will!

  • @elisemstephens Yes! I'm leaving Monday morning for staging and starting to freak out!

  • @elisemstephens Yes, I'm leaving Monday morning for staging. Starting to freak out!

  • Thanks. I'm English and I'm going to get American citizenship just so I can join.
