  • With the particluar pose, pain or discomfort, likely suggests incorrect technique. Any manipulation, stretching, etc.. of the back needs absolute care. This is also important when executing axial twists which again overstretched leads to longterm injury.

  • Be careful when doing a cobra pose to avoid injury! Overstretching backwards the lower back (lumbar) results in compression which over time manifests as backpain. The model used in the video was bending at the lumbar region. When lifting up and back the lumbar should not be compressed that way. Instead lift the pelvis and doing so prevents overarching lower back.
