@abmsghost1 It was his later opinion: ABM has played l'Isle Joyeuse (his pupils know that it was in his repertoire) until '50. You can notice the same ABM's decision in works as Liszt's Ballade n°2 or Balakirev's Islamey, unfortunately not recorded.
Everybody knows that ABM had a gigantic repertoire (according to his students and many others) but recorded only a few number of works.
That's interesting! But if it is in an unknown place, how do you know it's even Michelangeli? Where did the recording come from? Is it yours? I'm just curious.
This is not Michelangeli! He never played this piece because he considered it a "vulgarity".

@jaijeffcom It was probably recorded in Teatro Chiabrera (Savona) with a particular kind of Wire recorder.
