Hey I have a ninja 250r 2010 model and I want to winterize it and I would like to know how I should go about spraying fogging oil in the carbs cylinders I have no clue?
Hello dude, I just got my 2009 ninja 250r (carburator) with 1000 miles on it, so breaking in period is almost complete, I ve done it by the book, including the 600 mile maintenance service, but now every once in a while, with cold starts I´m having backfire, and really loud ones, why is this happening? any clue?
@2DMGOOD4U Sounds like you have too much fuel if it's getting burned out the back of the tailpipe. Have you played with the stock adjustment screw settings on your carb? Is your setup totally stock? How does it run? Rough, hesitant, etc? What your gas mileage like?
@2DMGOOD4U After thinking about it, you're probably just putting too much fuel into the system too early by using too much choke on those cold days. Only use as much choke as you HAVE to, and get on the bike and ride away easy to warm the bike up. Don't warm it up by idling. Try moving the choke to half or so and then firing up the bike. If it doesn't start, add a little bit more. If your bike is idling at like 4k RPM, you have too much choke on.
@2DMGOOD4U Thanks, but the thing here is that I´ve never used the choke before, where I live there is no need for that, maybe on winter and my idle speed is on 1250 just like the book says mmm I don´t know. I visited a 250r forum and some people seem to have the same problem and no one has figured it out, strange ehh. by the way I did´t post my question 3 times what happened?
if you need further explanation, see faq.ninja250.o r g/wiki/Carburetor_photos
