I do find it interesting that the majority of survivalists are also the fattest and most out of shape people around. Thus, without guns, Darwin would dictate that they are the least fit to survive - and, in following this logic, that their very survival goes against natural law and the survival of the fittest humans. If asked to run away from contact, most of them would have heart attacks or pass out from the exertion. A funny idea of survivalism you have. You should focus on yourself first.

To make such a comment to his face in the form of a challenge, I believe you would have second thoughts. He is on tough customer. But your point about those of us as we age, who work all day, go home and have dinner and then to bed, and do all this with 8 kids running around. I'd have to say you have very little in the way of life experiences. Mr. Miracl is responsible for all 10 of their lives every day, just like many other citizens in this great country.
It is easy to be critical of others if you know nothing about them. Citizen militias, for the most part are every day, average citizens, some are vet's and some are not, who strive with limited time to prepare to the best of their ability for such situations as Disasters, Crime, Invasion, Terrorism, Tyranny. We do this, because in the end, we are responsible for ourselves. We work, pay taxes, and hire professionals to provide Public Safety Services. But there are times that can go betond.
As an example, durring Katrina, New Orleans police skipped town when the disaster went beyond what they could control. Their fault, NO. The publics fault for not helping them. THERE WASNO PUBLIC SUPPORT AT ALL. To be prepared is to not be a victim. A prepared citizen is one less person that Public Services has to worry about.
Getting your neighbors prepared or helping your neighbors in times on need take a lot of stress off the system. WE AS CITIZEN HAVE THESE RESPONSIBILITIES.
So, whether we are lardasses, bone farms, gimps, old farts, and what ever other comment you wish to make, in the end we are good responsible citizens who work to make this great country run and are ready for times that go beyond what we as a society have prepared for.
What other requirements does one need to have to love Liberty and Freedom. Does your family measure up to you, does your parents, grandparents, aunts or uncles ? Are they any less worthy too ?
I know what you could do - send in that lardass (Lee Miracle) across enemy lines - he can eat up all the enemy food supplies, thus starving them into submission!
