I didnt think the after taste was too bad. And gintial, is like ginsing, i believe, which is a type of herb. If you look it up you should be able to find out about it.
I'm from Mass and watched my siblings drink Moxie as a kid. It was too strong for me. I finally revisited it in Middle School and have loved it ever since. Sadly my local supermarket no longer caries it as I was the only one that drinks it :(
I'm from maine, and grew up drinking moxie. It's definitely an aquired taste. I noticed that you only took small sips, and for first time drinkers, i recommend to take a big gulp and to not just sip it. You get more of the flavor that way and not the bitter taste.
I didn't like it at first (I thought it tasted like Christmas + Dry Erase markers). but I love it now. Check out the documentary I made - posted as a response here. Start by appreciating its history, then want to like it and eventually you'll love it.
also I haven't had Moxie in a glass bottle but I've done research and what you had is no different from what they sell in stores. Moxie's recipe has never changed over the past 125 years and has never contained alcohol or illegal substances.
Actually if you do the research you will find Moxie has changed it's recipe over the years. Like Coke, Moxie once contained cocaine which was legal and thought to be healthy at the time!
@sword78910 I'd love to see your research. I'm really curious, because it seems to me like Moxie history is pretty sparse. I interviewed a several members of the Moxie Congress for my documentary, including the director of the Moxie Museum up in Union, Maine and they all said that the recipe has stayed consistent. Let me know!
"I'm a cheap bastard." :D My mom could tell you the same thing about me; I refuse to buy any ice cream besides Kroger, simply for the fact it costs 1 dollar a box!
Whats good Phil, So once you finnished all the soads, in this large world are you going to energy drinks? Ill bring back the CIA house soda when I come back. We need to chill and hit a metal show. I keep watching for your vids
