@xchezwx try taking thinner pieces of hair. they can be quite wide just as long as they're thin. also invest in a gud flat iron. flat irons that cost like ten dollars will curl but it'll take a lot longer than if you use a $25 flat iron or more. zazen is a gud brand :P

For everyone who is saying that it didn't work for them,Here are some tips.

1.Make sure you have your straightner set on a very hot setting.300 degrees or more.

2.The slower you go,The tighter the curl.

3.Make sure your hair is COMPLETLY dry.

4.You might not be turning your straightner enough.Turn your straightner so your hair is wrapped around the straightner once.You might have to turn it even more than that.

5.Keep trying.You have to try alot to find out what's best for you.

I'm a hairstylist and I ALWAYS use my flat iron (which is also Zazen)

to do my curls.

They're beautiful and ideal if you're looking for a curled style that won't leave you looking like Shirley Temple.

They will also last you A LOT longer than curling iron curls.
