WOW! I haven't heard anything quite so clean and beautiful. Really Awesome you all. Could you please clarify which instruments were used. At first I thought some FX had to be used to keep the sound so clean but when you hit the first really high note I couldn't hear any FX and only a slight hint of chiff. Great playing and some credit to your whistle makers to.
Just beautiful, how did I miss this at Hammersmith? And now they are planning to close this wonderful centre down, its past the midnight hour deadline for the 5,000 petition. Oh, may the music reign, and somehow hope to see Lunasa again - hopefully in Hammersmith Irish Centre.
I saw then just over a week ago, regretfully knowing nothing about their existence...but now they're my favourite musical talent...?!?! AMAZING! This is my favourite Lúnasa song, along with Stolen Apples and Alice's Reel...?!?! But this is the best! And they're hilarious guys aswell...! 1st row, c,mon baby! I'm 13...everyone else was over 60?!?!
@HannahGrahamOfficial right there with you!!!! Saw them a tad last year for an our local Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin Ohio...fell in love with them right away but that has been the first and only time i've seen them! And i'm 16 in love with the band and proud of it!!!!
@Irelandhasmyheart Cool. Well, it's nice to technically meet you...Mr. 16-Year-Old-Lunasa-Fan! :-) Although, my comment's now useless, 'cause I'm 14 now! :-) Still love 'em though, listening to them now, on iTunes! :-)
@Irelandhasmyheart Wowow...wait a minute there...?! I just checked out your channel...you like Celtic Thunder? Ahh, it's like you're a clone of me...hmmm...!? :-D
@HannahGrahamOfficial Oh I dont like them...I love them and need their music!! :D Mhmm yeeah they are one of the best!
Its nice to meet you too Miss 14-year-old-Lunasa-and-Celtic-Thunder-fan :D Yeah Im actually Miss too. Hhaha not a guy :) and not married. Nice nice...cant wait to get Heritage!!!!
@Irelandhasmyheart Oh My Gosh I'm SOO sorry, I didn't mean to put Mr...! I'm really sorry about that, was having a wierd day...! I'm really sorry! Yeah, celtic thunder are AMAZING! But being English, I can't get their music...! :-( So I live off youtube...
@HannahGrahamOfficial Its really ok! :D Dont worry at all! I can understand that 100%! Yes no doubt about that!! Ohhhh no way!! Well I think thats really awesome! But a huge bummer at the same time :(. Youtube is an awesome friend!! :D Hmmm I wish there was something I could do about that :/. That must be tough! Have you bought any of their cds?
Los pelos como escarpias!! Spanish expression: Hair like nails (more or less..) Hear them at Ainsa: castle, dark night, storm on arrive... Have no words but... come again!!!
Best irish band on the scene now (almost 'ever' ...but I still say the come close second to Bothy Band!!) - & Kevin is hilarious on the mic' - saw them at one of their UK venues in Nov 07, could do with 1 or 2 new sets, apart from that, they're dynamite!
The is a great tune and vid, but it's not "The Last Pint." This tune is "Abireann"-please excuse the spelling my Irish is not up to par. I believe it means "April"
thats not entirely true though. The name of the tune is the Last Pint. Lunasa called it Aibreann because they couldnt remember the name till later on once they made theyre first book.
Thanks for setting me straight. You're right about the confusion b/t the names. I also confused the name with a jig called "The First Pint" that Crawford plays. Aibreann or The Last Pint-it's a beautiful song nevertheless!
saw them live in Vancouver after meeting one of their cousins in Armagh who said i had to go and check them out live - he may be family but he was right - a great show
Cara, musica que enaltece a alma. Very excellent!!!
