Peggy was a fishwife, with a mouth like a sewer to boot. Fancy throwing up Mark's HIV status like that. To be honest the Vic was Den and Angie or Sharon for me, Windsor was crap and they made out later on that Peggy had always been part of Walford, when in fact she didn't appear until nearly ten years after Enders started. Good riddance to her. RIP Wendy, she died in a terrible way.

@DaveyC95 peggy had no class, she was always banging on how great her family were yet she treated billy like dirt, ange was the best landlady ee ever had only barwoman who could come close to her in my view was mel owen, and den watts was better than phil or grant.it annoys me about how much the show was built around the mitchells, everyone seems to forget the show was full of great characters and from looking at the early 85 episodes my view is that the show was at its best back then.

oh how I miss Pauline, Walfords greatest matriach, it saddens me that the writers turned her into a 'sour old bag' in her last months with a horrid exit. 20 years of service from Wendy, one of the orginal and iconic characters and they treated Pauline like crap during her last year.

Can't stand Barbara Windsor... a dreadfully third rate actress who played Peggy like a toxic little troll. Wendy Richard on the other hand, whilst rather dour, never over-acted or became self indulgent in her performance.
