Yezidis are split between those who identify themselves as ancient Yezidis and Kurds. And many Yezidis who mislike Kurds, does it because of religion. Most Yezidis though regard themselves as Kurds, and all Yezidis speak Kurdish. What you dear Eisara don't think about is that all Kurds were Yezidis/Zoroastrians, Jews, Christians etc before Islam.

Genetic testings has proven that Kurds and Assyrians are close. Kurds and Arabs of Iraq are extremely close genetically, and how can this be? Well, it must be due to our shared Mesopotamian ancestors, that's exactly how.
Kurds (not all, but many) have Assyrian ancestors while the Arabs of South have Babylonian (the same people as Assyrians) ancestors. Simple as that.

Urartu in sumerian means people of highland. (Hayer is the same in armenian im presuming).

My Assyrian friend told me, that Gur and other words similiar to Kurd, can mean mountain and even some other things, which are positive in Assyrian. He said, who knows if they were an Assyrian tribe who moved there North away from the big cities etc.

Wrong, a false claim with no proves. Assyrians are Christian Kurds. The "modern Assyrians" started to use that name, because of british brainwashing. There is no such thing as modern Assyrians with ancient Assyrian DNA. If that's the case, then I guarante you at least 30% of the Kurds in North Iraq, also are descendants of ancient Assyrians.
