@retrofann1 Good rating. Sudden Impact was a very emotional film, directed by Eastwood himself. It really showed how much hatred was in the heart of Locke's character.

To me Sudden Impact is my least favorite not because it's not a good Eastwood film, but it never felt like a Dirty Harry movie, more like a Lifetime Channel movie of the week. By that point I was used to seeing Eastwood take down psychopaths, bad cops and a terrorist faction, but suddenly he's tracking a rape victim out for revenge. Just never seemed like Dirty Harry to me.

sudden impact was the darkest most gritty dirty harry harry film but it was most certainly the best....clint was so cool in that one

Not the best Dirty Harry by far but the remote controlled car chase was an inspired piece of cinema. Great title music from Lalo Schifrin though.

The score has been released on CD for a year now, actually. However, the main title track on the CD is a bit different. This one was taken directly from the film.
