it takes place every easter in chios. otomans took their cannons so the locals responded with homemade rockets. they aim the opposing churche's bell tower. they don;t get hurt. it is owsome btw. chios is an island in greece.

No, it's a tradition in a place in.. I thought Italy, they reconstruct a war by shooting rockets to eachothers churches :p ..

It takes place in Greece on an island with two towns..the tradition is that an invading force took over their weaponry so they responded by firing homemade rockets at the invaders...now they do this every Easter, the goal is to hit the opposing churches bell tower.

There was an episode about this war on Discovery Channel lately, unfortunately, none of the rockets managed to hit one of the bells, I did this on smaller scale once, but I was already feeling manly :D Must be awesome to do this, I would approach this rather different though, like make a bazooka and fire, adjust, fire etc. etc. Ooh, my imagination is on the loose...
