  • at 1:19 can u give tips. on how the play the triplet parts smoothly with the right hand. i have a month to learn this kuz im performing it in my college

  • TUTORIAL!!

  • work those polyrhythms!

  • Good job, really, i liked it. sometimes, like others said, your left hand is overlapping the melody, but that's also my problem :P. btw your camera is places a little bit weird, I have to break my neck to see your hands right :O

  • Amazing! Playing Debussy's composition - shows her skills!

  • Perfect vid for me to learn off of, nice choice of song. You played this very well with the fingerings and much more. Thank you!

  • debussy's version stays alwais the best ever

  • U kno the original is not the one Alicia Keys used right?

    It was made by Debussy.

  • @MsPianogeek in the video he states Inspiration for Alicia Key's " Like The Sea"

  • it was good but i think you need to use the pedal a little bit better for the runs...try tapping in the fast parts a holding it more gradually during the slow parts

  • Wow It's Wonderful!

  • Your left hand was out of control and you need to revise your dynamic.

  • one of my favourite Debussy pieces.

  • stargazer music

  • A good song for a street pianist i think

  • this is amazing. what make is your piano?

  • I can't play it half that good!!! :( ahh well I've only played it like 4 or 5 times :P

  • ^^ I love how it sends tremors down your back ^^ and makes you feel like wind is all around you and your head moves with the music but the music flows thru you and makes it even more beautiful ^^

  • OH MY GOD! That description is PERFECT! And yes, the performance is sublime. You can do SO MUCH in the imagination with the right music. And no music is righter than this piece.

  • that was amazing!

  • wow Amazing! Love it! You play very very well =)

  • omg there is so much mess. sry but its my opinion

  • My love played this piece for me once in Germany... thank you to remind me those old good feelings. Great job.

    Bonne continuation ... from Paris.

  • I think it's good...although there were some mistakes, not to be too strict, it's nice overall.

  • "Keep looking up".

  • you need to improve your counting and rythm...the interpretation it''s not bad but you definetly spoil the song due to the fact that you dont relate very well the parts and the message...caused by the lack of counting.

  • this is very horrible.

    im sorry to say.

you wait around wayy to much. (N)

  • hmmm, I wouldn't say it was totally horrible. I do think it lacks some musicality, though...

  • Brilliant Performance. This is a very difficult piece to play and you nailed it. Great Job.

  • Absolutely phenomenal performance...

Great job mate. Peace from Greece

  • How lovely =)

    ~xx

  • This was absolutely amazing! i wish i could play this i cant believe some comments on here 'why are you hands to close to the piano?'i really didn't get that one well you do have to use your hands to play the piano, keep it up because that was great :D

  • I think what they meant was why are his fingers so straight. most pianists play with their fingers bent more

  • really good.

    just perfect

  • beautiful

  • he made one little mistake. over-all his triplets v quarter notes were spot on.Cut the guy some slack. It was well done

  • This was absolutely beautiful. I have to laugh at all the people that leave bad feedback. Why can't we just sit back and enjoy the beauty of the music instead of analyzing it to death!

    Good job!

  • show us if u rly can

  • eres una maquina!

  • its to fast!

  • Well done; it's hard to keep the right hand under control in this sometimes - especially if the piano's got a heavy touch. The 'twos against threes' are quite difficult too

  • well... better than me :)

  • Mujer el mundo está amueblado por tus ojos

Se hace más alto el cielo en tu presencia

  • Something seems off, but I can't quite explain it... It feels like you are rushing while you are playing this...Some of what your right hand is playing is overlapped by what your left hand is playing... So it is somewhat unclear since you are rushing. However, great job! =)

  • You also play it very well. Congratulations!!

  • thanks, helped me alot!

  • wow that is so...so... sweet

  • favorite song well executed.

  • Wonderful vid.

  • just perfect

  • i like how you highlighted the melodies

  • your hands are like water on the keys!! amazing :-O i played this song a few years ago and it still brings back memories :)

  • great job!!

  • brilliant

  • excelente...

    debussy rules

  • admirable.

  • Played well. You get the essence of the piece. This Arabeske has been "in my fingers" a long time and is my wife's favorite piece; she often asks me to play it. By the way, you have a fine pair of piano hands; they remind me in a way of Horowitz's, especially the fingers.

  • You are very patient in certain parts, which is admirable. A lovely performance.

  • You still play the best because around 3:50 I can't get the beat between the left and right, but one thing, around 3:48-49 you played a lil fast than it suppose to be, you rushed a bit...but overall...WOW!

  • I have fcked up problems..especially the lastish part...I don't know how to put my hands together there, left is faster than right...man...

  • it's too fast to be gentle and lovely, as debussy intended

    but whatev. it's still correct...

  • So smooth, dude. So very smooth.

I agree with someone who said you have nice piano fingers and you do. I wish mine looked that nice while I'm playing. lol lol lol

    Beautifully done.

    ^o^

  • This is so awesome! THANKS for so many fingering ideas! You play great!

You have nice piano fingers too.

    ;)

  • Wow! it's amazing how you can make your fingers flow together like that. btw, how do you play the thirds so evenly? i've been trying to figure it out and it keeps clumping.

  • chevere

  • Bits of it were a bit too speedy for my liking, though, I suppose that makes the diminuendi a bit more dramatic... Very nice playing, by the way!

  • Agree with FISHBOB42, great performance, confusing video

  • nice vid. only critic: go over you sheet music again and mark the 'a tempo' and 'rit' signs

  • totally agree

  • agree, too

  • Agree...your tempo changed to much for Debussy.

    Yes

  • The camera angle was kind of disorienting, but the performance itself was great.

  • Nice going! Although You've got a note mistake. The last three chords in right hand are'nt G# and H, but E and G#! (I know, there are many added lines, and it was only an inattention.)

But I say again: That's fine!

  • For those who don't know, in Germany, "H" refers to what Brits and Americans know as "B" and "B" refers to "B flat".

  • Hdekakas - Can we hear your PERFECT version of this piece? He only got ONE note wrong you say? And you happened to notice? LOL! If it's written incorrectly; not his fault, right?

    ;)

  • I played this Arabesque at a concert 1 month ago... I didn't write only negative criticism; Did You read my "Nice going!" exclamation? :)

  • No prob, Hdekakas. It's just that so many people complain about the beautifully played music. No one considers and appreciate all the time and effort that go into a piece. All they do is complain, complain, complain. Hardly anything good is acknowledged. It's so unfair. Pointing out one bad note is not very nice either, and really uncalled for. You play, and make errors too; we all do; we're human.

    ;)
