All the bullshit aside, pclanc is right in his initial judgement. It's a pretty good take, not a sky. The guy didn't go up, he put himself in shit position, by the time it was over his head he hadnt even started jumping, he misread it totally, that's why he didn't jump. He could've run that out, the D was done.

Most guys I know who play Ultimate can jump about that high. It WAS a very nice catch, but if the defender had read the disc better and made some kind of attempt at D it might very well have not been made.

It was NY and Oregon in and around Portland, and many could jump like that. Like I said, it was a very nice jump, great timing, but it looked better because Goat didn't leave his feet. Goat D was non-existent. As for the "crowd's" reaction proving anything, please. Ultimate is a congenial sport and watchers support by cheering, and besides, it WAS a nice play, def worthy of cheering. Just not worthy of being posted on YouTube as "great" (because of the lack of D), that's all.

As for that Beau video, the first catch it shows him making was a TOTAL foul, he just fucking crashed into the guy in blue, laid him out. Dude can jump, no question, but dangerous play is contrary to the spirit of Ultimate.
