  • 'That's what tapestries are for'...

  • Being "bisexual" was common then as it is now.. Most upper class in early History married not for Love or Sex. but, for Political Gain, and Prestige.

  • 9:08 They are about to fling themselves at each other in unrestrained passion. Wait for it...

  • "you stink, you know that? you're a stinker, and you stink!"

  • And I thought the Tudors were off-kilter, LOL!

Brilliant acting, dialogue and directing! What has happened to movies like this?

  • i want a knife, they all have one

  • "I spent two years on every street in Hell."

"That's odd. I never saw you there."

    Classic.

  • @Macleodking

    Brilliant

  • lol, she made her son come out and say that he is.....shall I say...g_y!

  • @aosaenz that's the way I interpreted that too. Although according to Allison Weir, author and historian regarding Eleanor of Acquitaine, there is absolutely no proof, or even innuendo to imply Richard's alleged homosexuality. She said that rumor started in 1948 by some guy/ author for reasons unknown. If anything, he was as hyper hetero as his father according to the prodigious number of bastards he sired.

  • @2012endofanerror Richard sired only one acknowledged bastard while his father had numerous. The record goes to Richards great-great grandfather Henry I of England, with over 40.

  • The best ensemble acting I ever saw. When Hepburn at her finest is matched scene for scene by O'Toole and we still remember vividly each of those boys and young King Louis, well there is no higher mountain to be climbed for an actor.

  • Wow I've never been a huge Hepburn fan but she delivered that little tirade there brilliantly. 3:00 ~ 3:29

  • Dalton was so very good at this, that I could never accept him as Bond...

  • " I should say something solemn, but I haven't the time..."

    OMG Priceless dialogue

  • I like as well how Eleanor says, "Promise him anything" to Richard, and the scene after, alluding to the rumoured homosexual relationship between Richard and the King of France

  • The lines in this movie, the whole way through, pure poetry!

"He came down from the north to Paris, with a mind like Aristotle's and a form like mortal sin. We shattered the commandments on the spot". Absolute magic!
