  • Could you be so kind and link me to the tab you used for this?

  • @TheBanjoHenry No problem sharing this with you, my pleasure. However it would be hard to share a link with you, as I downloaded this at the Banjo Hangout website years ago. They have more versions of Foggy Mountain than anything and it would be hard to find which one is this one here. It's still there, but I'd have to download them all in order to find out.

Thankfully, I have it here stored in my laptop. Add me, then PM me your e-mail address and I will send it your way bud.

  • @TheBanjoHenry I can't find "add as a friend" on your page because of this new shitty channel design that is there. Send me a friend invite and wait for me to add you as a friend (or a contact as they say these days) before sending me a message with your e-mail, otherwise I think I won't be able to receive it. Later bud.

  • i got a confederate flag just like that flyin in my front yard

  • @peterbiltearl Good on ya, bud. You keep the colors flying, long live Dixie.

  • @MSfeller Hell Yeah, nice banjo picking by the way

  • The bpm trouble is barely noticeable. That was a good performance and I just loved the colors friend. It's heritage !

  • im black and i like this

  • @zRBMontages sweet im white and i dig it too

  • @zRBMontages Is so nice when we can all come together and appreciate some good music because our blood is still red regardless skin color. Kudos to you, brother !!!

  • bad ass banjo head brother

  • Alright, Get your coon dogs and let's go down to banks of the Tennessee river , fry some catfish, build a campfire and have a cold one... Youre a pickin and Im a grinin... nice job.. Long Live Dixie...

  • Very nice! Always nice to hear you playing.

  • Keep it up best way to show your southern nationalism using music.

  • Nice MS keep pickin' I just started the banjo a couple of months ago. Playing FMB not at that speed quite yet but workin on it. Hopefully, I will be adding some to my u tube soon.

  • Thanks, looking forward to watch your progress here as well! Let us know. Merry Christmas!

  • Very Nice Very Nice... Let it ring!

  • Thank you very much!

  • Great job. I can tell you have been practicing. Keep up the good work. Have you been able to pick with anyone?

  • Thank you very much. Yeah, practice a whole deal when I was out in the desert, now that I'm in town, with lots of stuff to do, I've been practicing less, but still practicing as much as I can. I haven't been able to pick with anybody except that one time when I met a guitar player who just got started on the banjo and we picked the beginning of Dueling Banjos. I'm thinking of later joining the local Bluegrass Association, so I can meet some locals who might be able to pick with me or something.

  • Well you just got a lot better, I remember what you said about the belt buckle i'm wearin right now on a 90 percent black campus, ha!

  • Good to see you pickin again - looks like youve been practicing.

  • Dang, nice job man!

  • Oh and nice job on the Foggy Mountain Breakdown man, one of my favorite banjo tunes of all time.

  • Thanks, bud! Appreciate having you here watching my videos and leaving comments, it's quite an honor!

  • Hey no problem man, the honors mine, I love a good banjo tune!

  • ahahah Yeehaw.

    Good pickin' mate :)

  • I enjoy this! Steve Martin said you can't play a depressing song on the banjo. I like the flags too. Looks like Van Doran and original Mississippi State flag. The South rises again!

  • Proud to hear from you again, todddoom! Lol, I see you got new videos, I gotta check them out! For a moment I forgot the juggalos even existed... boy, was I happy and didn't know it, huh? LOL Yep, you're very right, them flags there are the Van Dorn and the original MS flag, the Magnolia Flag. Good call, I can see that you're one of the ones that understand a good deal about Confederate Flags. If only the stupid ass juggalos had the same degree of intelligence and knowledge of history... shame!

  • Awesome "FMB", get to goin pretty fast too! Great performance..

  • I like this very much. Thank you for sending out the updates to us, so we don't miss any.

  • Hey, you! Long time no see! Glad to have you watching my videos once again! Proud to have your comments once more, glad you're still around RiverBirch, thanks!

  • Fantastic, Mike. You've comes miles and miles since you started out. Great job on the FMB.

You know, you could use most of these licks to play Jerry Reed's "Eastbound and Down" from Smokey and the Bandit. The truck on the flag reminded me.

  • Thank you, Dan! Still got many miles ahead... like I said, I'm yearning for a better sounding banjo, even though I still love my cheap one. I can't play music by ear, not yet, and I just got started, believe me or not, incorporating licks from one song to another. I'm gonna try to find the TAB on the Banjo Hangout website. Oh yeah,. I'm a big rig fanatic, hopefully next year I'll get my CDL... thanks, Dan and thank you everyone.

  • yea, you're miles from that cripple creek video, really good improvement on speed

  • Love the flag on, the wall man :-)!

    Good picking!

  • thank you for the kind words on my video and for suscribing! sounded really good, I watched alot of your old old old videos and im no experienced banjo player but it looks as if you've come along way, great job

  • Oh, you deserved them. I love Clawhammer, and you got it just about right there, bubba. Yeah, I came a long way, and there's still a long, long way to go, but I will be walking down that highway with a smile upon my face... thanks a lot for the motivation, sir!

  • Well keep on it. And on another note...good choice rejecting Hussein Obama and keeping the Bible near because we're headed for some rough times and will soon be one nation under Obama

  • Amen to that, brother! Yes, indeed, an Obamanation, lol :)

  • That is really great!! How long has it taken you to be where you are now at playing?

  • Thank you, ma'am! Well, it took me about two years, but past four months I've been picking a lot more than I used to. I reckon it depends on how much you pick everyday, and how much you like to pick... but everyone can get there, and I wouldn't doubt if someone with more talent can get there within a few months. Me, well, about two years.

  • OMG...I just LOVED it!! You put a smile on my face and I can't wait for your next tune!!

    MissP

  • Thank you, MissPickletoes! Your gracious comments and kindness are always a great source of inspiration... thank you so much!
