why dont you use GopRo live video out and fly with 1 camera onboard?

I saw a video with range test where your small FPV camera got wet and destroyed,

gopro is water resistant if you close the hole for AV cable in the case with some silicone...

@TomRi25 I saw where Team Blacksheep said they tried the GoPro camera and it had a slight delay in the video. A delay even for a fraction of a second is not ideal when the plane is traveling $80mph in close proximity to large rocks and trees. WHile the GoPro makes great videos it isnt ideal for transmitting real time images.

@Asadullah21 it depends what kind of wings you want to fly and how far.further you go more expensive stuff you need.i hooked up on thoes videos few months ago,never flew rc plane before,i both the plane "phoenix" play few days on pc with simulator.it helped a lot,i crash several times,have used a lot of glue to repair the plane and keept learning.2weeks later i order fpv package plug and play.type in SANDNES FPV or watch on my channel how i did it with the same "beat up" glider i learn :)

Firstly, I would have a look at image image stabilising the stuff, particularly the rotation, - if you need a hand, drop me a line - that's what I do.

Secondly, I don't know what sort of payload your plane can handle, but if you could get one of these on on as well (It weighs 3.3oz), the picture would be full 1080p HD, which would be stunning: goprocamera

I watched several of your videos and I don't see any crashes, but there must be some FPV clips with all your crashes. It appears you hit some phone/power lines in your winterwonderland, but you kept flying successfully. One of these days, can you show a crash?

@rodstroker33 Plane and simple (pun intended) if it was way the hell up there in that terrain I would be very inclined to leave it unless you want a grueling climb for a day or two. Tough pill to swallow but gyess it depends how into mountain climbing you are.

@zhred Is the FrSku module 2.4 GHz? If so, 2.4 systems are impractical for FPV, and they will interfere with the video link that is 2.4 GHz.

@zhred Ok. But for the video link, you must always stay in LOS (line of sight) regardless. A glitch on your radio is a scare, but nothing really. However losing is far worse.

@zhred Yes, this guy has to stay in LOS. We all do. You always have to be in LOS, you can fly behind say a tree line, but if you fly behind a hill or something you will lose both links. look at about 1:44 in this video - they are only staying on the one side of that ridge. That is because if they go on the other side they will be outside of LOS and lose R/C and video.

@zhred He is flying this FPV, and it is too far away to see normally. Even though he is beyone mountains, he always maintaind LOS. He has a video of when he flies behind an object and looses video! Search for it, see what i mean.

@zhred As i said, it looks like it, but when you know where he is in relation to the plane, you see he doesn't :). He has a Lawmate 2.4GHz 500Mw setup, and he uses some stupuidly high gain antennas on the reciever :)

@zhred He's using a thing called UHF. He has the EzUHF to be exact, google it. It is a whole sperate type of think that gives you perhaps 40KM of range on the R/C. But it comes at a hell of a price.
