  • lebron would be perfect at this

  • is there traveling or ??

  • I'd like to point out that some players of wheelchair basketball only sustained an injury one leg or only suffer from partial disability. It does not mean they can still function without a wheelchair even though their legs are capable of some things. All of these players are likely physically incapable of playing regular basketball no matter how hard they tried. Don't judge before you know the whole story.

  • THIS GUYS ARE CON ARTISTS, THEY FALL AND YOU CAN SEE THEM MOVING AND JUMPING ON THEIR LEGS, THIS IS B.S.

  • How u gonna have wheelchair basketball with healthy players? Play reg ball. Leave the wheelchair ball to ppl like...oh idk...ppl that live in wheelchairs!? Moronic. Angers me to see ppl fall and use their legs to get up

  • Lebron traveled!

  • alot of the time they fall they use their legs to get back up. its confusing cause i thought they were disabled

  • @7MathRules LOL

  • @7MathRules I smell... BULLSHIT

  • @eljcasino stop smelling yourself

  • Imagine them playing against the Lakers and dunking on Kobe... :P

  • Cool Video...all i know is i hate falling

  • Double Dribble!!!!

  • 1:20 lmfaooo omg

  • :55 he used hi feet wtf!

  • travel

  • To me, this is more difficult than regular ball....these guys are champs...and it has nothing to do with their ability to do thing differently...the ability to have your mind control a chair and attempt to shoot a ball is amazing....

  • thats a travel!

  • Why are those freak spastics attempting to play sports?

  • @ClownViolenceBoogie fucking prick what a compolete cunt you are fucking idiot

  • The winning team was on steroids

  • there wheely good at basketball.

  • isnt.. wheel chair basketball for people that can't use their legs... so why are most of the players able to stand back up with their feet after a fall lol

  • These guys have mad wheelchair skills. This just goes to show that even if your legs are retarded, you can still serve a purpose and go on to do some things.

  • I'm there

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah suck my dick btw

  • what was the score 2-4?

  • THAT GUY JUMPED UP! HES NO CRIPLE!

  • @DlNOCRlSlS seriously!!! some of those guys can walk.

  • @smokeyandcraig :O cheaters!

  • 0:45 killaaaaaa damn

  • i see double dribbles everywhere. what is this

  • @WaVKillahs Rules r not like traditional basketball.

  • im proud being a part of a team even though im not handicapped.

  • TRAVELING !!!1

  • Basketball is a walk in the park for these guys.

  • typiquement quebecois ''allez les bleus!!'' (au lieu de mentionner le nom de l'équipe) :P

  • How does traveling work?

  • i would be afraid to be punched by a paraplegic (waste down obviously) they probably developed so much arm strength they would make me crippled.

  • wtf, that dude at 1:28 used his left leg !!

  • @JLz860

Uh, maybe only his right doesn't work fuck knuckle.

  • @JLz860 Maybe it was his other legs that he couldn't move?

  • lmfao i wanna see wheelchair hockey

  • the funny thing is, i dont even think these guys are handicap in a wheelchair

  • man they not playing with intensity i go way faster than that. wait ppl who reading this look out for kid name bj bonmon

  • Whether they win or lose.. they are still crippled.

  • These people arent disabled...they are using their legs to get up. I'm a paraplegic and this is definitely not a handicapped game.

  • i love it how they tie theirlegs up together :') i'm sorry i don't mean to sound mean :L

  • The workers at YouTube are going to burn in hell for this being the featured video from the Special Olympics song...

  • Are they seriously disabled? Or is this just for fun?

  • One Word...

    Amazing!!!

  • They should play wheelchair football..

  • i think they traveled ..

  • sharks

  • 0:55 ...

  • "everybody wants to be like mike" - Will Smith

  • so many mean things running across my head..sigh..why man..why

  • 0:42 - ALLEY OOP

  • lol some of these dudes dont even look disabled, they used their legs to push themselves up after they fell. this game do look interesting tho

  • they are not injured, they're just in a wheelchair for fun!

  • they should invent jetpacks so they can dunk. That would be awesome on so many levels.

  • @lineape Like we havent heard that joke before haha

  • @lineape I've never laughed so hard at a comment in my life

  • Ant more than two pushes or direction changes without dribbling is travelling.

  • how do you do an alley-oop?

  • It's something like if you push your wheel more than two times without dribbling...just like you can't take more than two steps.

  • and i play with alot of the New Brunswick guys.

  • I play wheelchair Basketball, and im able bodies. anyone can play!

  • People without disabilities can play wheelchair basketball as well. I think, depending on how disabled a person is, they get a certain amount of points (less disabled you are, more points) and a team is only allowed a certain number of "points" on the court at any give time.

Hence why you see people jumping back up when they fall down.

  • WTF?!!! did the dude at 0:53 just, push himself up using his legs???!! but.... but.... what the hell is the point for him to be in a wellchair then!! D:

  • got it losa?

  • @MrTrailerMusic As a young wheelchair basketball player I know the rules. The rules simply are you are not allowed to touch the floor with your feet, unless you have fallen or are going to injure yourself. In this case the player is using his feet to get himself backup from a fall. And looking at the floppiness of his feet he looks like he has the same physical disability as me, called Spina Bifida.

  • hahahahahahahhahaha

  • not to be rude, but how are some of those people falling over then basically standing up using their strapped in legs to get up? and moving them>?

  • wtf, check out the guy at 1:00. did he just jump up?

  • i know i saw it too

  • better than wnba

  • man screw those who r looking at people in wheelchairs stareing like u never seen a disabled person my brother is in a wheelchair he has been in 1 his whole life i have never seen him walking b4 screw u who r stareing

  • Comment removed

  • I'm in a wheel chair because I had major knee surgery, it's really made me respect those people who have to be in one thier whole life

  • Fuck u

  • major knee surgery you say?

  • This could actually become a pretty popular spectator sport if it ever gets more media attention. It's pretty entertaining to watch and you can see there's a high level of skill required.

  • thats awesome but what is considered a foul/traveling?

  • its basically kinda like putting kobe bryant on your youth basketball team down a the park. cant we have and enjoy anything lol wtf...

  • i have been playing wheelchair softball for 5 years and now starting on basketball.. canada and i must be not on the same page.. first of all why play a wheelchair sport if u can use ur legs. im a t-6 and i have no balance really so i would be pissed off if a team with ABs or (able bodies) beat a team of real people with real disablities, or injuries who cant walk or lost a limp. it kinda like comming in our sport and bullying knowing you are most functionable then others. gimps can still win

  • Well I'm personally not a fan of the ab's playing but i deal it with it cause in canada we have less disabled players. But I like how playing with the AB's shows them what we can do, cause when there in the chair there no different i've done demos at my high school even though they didn't get the best reception

  • The team I play on have all been trying to get AB's to play all the time. We only have 2 AB's on our team and they have no more advantage than any other player when you use the classification system. Its not as if an AB would go in place of a 1 or 2, they'd clearly be the highest classification. What is the difference between an AB and a guy with nerve damage in his leg when your in a chair and have no movement of your legs?... none.

  • In Canada Ab's can play as 4.5.'s Wheelchair b ball uses a classification system based on the level of dissibillity I am a 0.5. because i have some hand dyfunction as well as leg. I will hopefully be playing at the next Canada Winter Games in Halifax. Team BC #5

  • good for you

  • LOL

  • dude are they actually paralized or are they just people that can walk around like a normal person?????????

  • yes they're actually crippled

  • What about the person at :56? He's practically standing!

  • @BigTeo55: Like a normal person? believe it or not someone who is paralyzed or disabled is actually a normal person as well. Maybe the term you meant was able bodied?

  • No there not idiot your probably some 13 year old kid, who makes fun of kids in chairs though

  • @Gastumto

No, most people are perfectly able-minded

  • i wish that was true, i really

  • To play wheelchair basketball you have to have a lower limb injury of some sort. It doesn't matter if you can walk or have no legs at all, as long as you have that type of disability you could play. AB's play too because the game is fun and competitive (if not more) than stand up ball.

  • that's pretty cool

  • My deepest apologize but it appears you fit comfortably in option number 2 (full blown idiot). A "bright" person would not ignore a statement by responding to it as you have. I'm sure you amaze the world with your intelligence by moving your legs. Good job! Don't worry, I'm sure you mom tells you your smart all the time :)

  • "apologies"

    not

    "apologize"

    also,

    "you're smart"

    not

    "your smart"

  • ok... are there refs???

and do they call traveling and like double dribble??

    hahaha :D

  • Yes there are refs and there isn't a double dribble rule. You get 2 touches of your wheel per ever dribble so basically push, push, dribble. A third touch is a travel call.

  • some people can still use there legs because they might, like me, have nerve damage and still have some mobility. you dont have to be completly paralyzed to use a chair.

the wheels are angled so that turning and just moving around is easier than if they were straight up and down.

hope i cleared up some confusion. ive been playing this sport for 9 years and i love it!!!

  • one guy started hopping on one leg lmao!!!!

  • some can actually use there legs? thats dumb why not jus play normal basketball if u can use your legs?

  • Dude, I'm an AB player and have to say I find wheelchair ball more fun and challenging than stand up ball. However, stand up is still fun. But keep in mind, many people have a lower limb injury but can still walk, yet this prevents them from being able to compete when playing against stand up players without any injuries.

  • are those chairs angled for any real purpose or is it just to look cool

  • ues they are , :turning motions

  • i love how the description says it drew a large crowd when most of the people there were probably just looking for a cheap laugh

  • wow imagine being a professional athlete, actually come to think of it i'd rather have legs.

  • im not gonna say anyting bad cause it might happen to me to and i count gods blessings everyday

ROFL 1:26 hes not a cripple??

  • haha nice :D

  • whatttttt are these people actually handicapped? i saw multiple instances where they stood up easily after getting knocked down. if one was handicapped, one would not be able to get back up after being pushed over in a wheelchair.

  • yeah they are.. haha

  • you don't have to be handicapped to play, anyone can hop in a wheelchair and play -_- these guys are probably just playing bball in wheelchairs

tried it and i sucked lol, so hard to shoot far while sitting down

  • wow...i really admire them.but i fell sorry for them too.

  • im a paraplegic and i try to play this just for some fun but i cant play at all i cant shoot lol looks awesome tho

  • my best guy friend plays wheelchair basketball and well, he is the most awesome guy out there . those guys can do the same stuff we can only differently . and i think it's awesome how they cope . I admire them . :)

  • i don't know WATS sooo funny about people being in a wheelchair...... im in a wheelchair too if u wanna laugh and people that cant walk its not cool people... have any problems come talk too me OK? my aim is coolboyx08

  • It's kinda sad how the paralympics people have to play in a gym, and the regular onlympians get to play in a state of the art stadium.

  • not as many people want to watch people play wheelchair basketball as they do real basketball.

  • that was funny maxkid7 lol 2the vid

  • HOT WHEELZ !!!

can most of these guys walk? cuz i saw some fakers.....damn man this is my third extreme wheelcharing vid 2day.

  • 1:54

    LMAO!

  • i laughed till i cried

  • I LOL'D SO FUCKING HARD

  • they be busting j's out here

  • wow, they got better shot thank shaq!!

  • lmao i bet 95% of these guys can have a better free throw percentage than shaq.

  • this is cool

  • not to be mean or imply anything but doesn't that kid use his feet to get up at 0:55

  • yeah he does, pple in chairs a lot of them can use there legs but can like only move them without weight

  • there's people who arent disabled that play wheelchair basketball

  • maybe he can walk?? Just to erase the stereotype, but not all of us who use chairs are confined to them

  • WC people kick ass. i like temmy on south park.

  • timmah

  • white wheelchair jordan #8 lmao

  • lol.yea i was gonna say that but didnt want those replies

  • NVR EVER SAY THT!!!!

  • Im in a chair n u can say that but it also depends on who ur saying it to. like me i dont really care, i c life without me bein in a chair others like my friend that was in a football accedent doesnt even want to talk about wheelchairs. (he was playin agianst another team and he was at the end of the dog pile and someone dislocated his spine a bad way so he is permenetly paralized waste down. its been pretty hard on him, but he is taken it step by step.

  • Yeah in the end it usually deepends on the persons will, its just tht i don like it when people underestimate other people pain haha

  • well, i mean not really "step by step" right?

  • thats how u hav to go in life im in a chair to i play wheelchair basketball man and is awesome u have to live ur life

  • same here i tried a wheelchair basketball man i fell on my face and a week rest yaaaaaay

  • wats the travel rule in wheelchair basketball?

  • well.. it's kinda hillarious... these guys are supposed to be handicapped... but they get up from the floor pretty fast when they fall :S

  • yeah well i fliped plenty of times from my sports chair it takes practice to get up that fast expecialy when u are parlized( unless u got alot of upper body strenth) and handicap doesn't mean that we can't do anything. we can do anything abled bodied person can do just in a diffrent way.

  • i know, it just.. makes it look..so easy :S

  • true that=)

  • I've tried wheelchair basketball with an ordinary wheelchair.. haha, not a good idea :/

  • lol i've tryed to play in my regular chair but siense i get to agrasive in my sports chair i was so horriable in my regular chair i kept flipping over =p

  • if u were in a whellchair you would know you work ut ur arms a lot so u can get off the ground if u fall

  • Wauw what a very fast game!

  • I can't even imagine how hard this must be to play.

  • Yeah you know what, Id like to see you get in a wheelchair and try to compete with those guys. When they'd get done with you, you'd be the one looking like you belong in the special olympics. Guaranteed. Maybe you should take the time to understand just how big and competitive the sport is before you make such an immature and ignorant comment.

  • It's not my comment, it's a quote from a stephen lynch song.

  • stephen lynch , lol i came searcghed this up bc of tht song, these ppl r moving their legs wtf?

  • lol, so did i..

  • this is actualy cool i wanna try

i wonder with a ramp could i dunk
