Haha, I love how this was exactly the same as The Island, AND the director of this film sued Dreamworks over it, and pretty much won, Dreamworks settling on an undisclosed amount.
I like how in early in the movie, the other characters have more than casual interest in the main character. If the track coach guard at the start of the movie wasn't so suspicious of Richard, I'd never would have picked up the hint that he was the main character. He looks like so much like the other 70's characters, he doesn't really stand out that much. George with his bright, blond hair, shaved chest and athletic physique would have been my first choice if he didn't die at the beginning.
What's funny is that the concept and basic story to this film is actually very strong. This movie falls flat on scripting, screenplay, acting/casting, and execution. I'm not surprised Micheal Bay ripped this movie off, considering he somehow has obtained the level of funding that would fill in all these weak points but lacks any sort of creativity, insight, or intelligence it would take to come up with a powerful film concept.
@PirateLordRogan I notice that with alot of bad movies that get showed on this series: The storyline is good and interesting. But once it gets excuted with a bad production and direction it becomes very bad. I feel the only one that came out lucky was the remake of 3:10 to Yuma.
