Thanks for posting this, it solved my problem with streaming videos. The green line is horizontal (right and left) not vertical (up and down. Bye Bye.
I'm experiencing this green line problem but when I right click on a video the settings option is greyed out so I can't select it. Do you have any idea why this might be? I welcome any help and suggestions.
@chemengamy I have Windows XP. If you have Vista or Win 7 type these words into youtube and watch the video. It may help you. Let me know. " Disable Hardware Acceleration In Windows Vista & Windows 7"
If you are getting a split screen with a GREEN vertical line across your screen. RIGHT CLICK the Video you are watching on YOUTUBE. When it opens up LEFT CLICK , SETTINGS. A small box with ADOBE FLASH PLAYER SETTINGS shoud appear on screen. Go down to the LEFT bottom of the LITTLE BOX and click on the small T. V. screen. UNTICK THE BOX next to ENABLE HARDWARE ACCELERATION, then click on close. Go out of YOUTUBE then come back in to view a Video. It should have NO lines on it. Good Luck.
