The Illuminati back in 1776 was just a group of 'free-thinkers'. Naturally, the government banned all secret societies in 1784. Their mission then was to overthrow the government, but they eventually died out. If one was found to be a part of them it was punishable by death. From that history alone I don't think Em would jump on that bandwagon.

The Illuminati means "The Enlightened One's" (loosley translated).. so they had people of different religions who were members of that group.
