I will shortly be visiting South America, including "darkest Peru" and I could'nt help but think of Paddington Bear, so it was great to find the old TV series posted here. My wife uses her version of the Paddington 'stare' to great effect!
OMG! I remember watching this as a little kid when I was home from school sick with the flu - wonderful! (btw, Stephen Fry's reading of these stories is lovely, too.) Thanks so much for uploading! ;D
Thanks so much for posting = this takes me right back. I could be sitting on the old rug in front of the tv after school on a rainy day.....!! Great stuff..
Paddington is very cute!!! I used to have a Paddington bear when I was a small child and I also had the books. I never saw the show till now. I love it! ! ! Thanks for posting it!
Haha aww.. I remember watching these when I was a toddler growing up in Sacramento, California. That explains why I have this hidden urge to speak British. When Paddington got creame and Marmalade all over his face I had to laugh! So adorable! ^^ Memories.
Oh i have been missing this..I used to look forward to seeing these lil paddington cartoons when i was 7 yrs old...Times were hard then and this lil bear was my escape! love Love love
I remember when I was a little girl, one of my father's friends was from London and he gave me his daughters old copy of "A Bear Called Paddington". He said if I loved Winnie-The-Pooh (also English!), I'd loved Paddington. I can't remember his name anymore and that makes me sad, but I thank him everytime I pull my book out to read. And yes, so what if I'm 30? Anyone can read Paddington Bear and fall in love all over again!
@LadyAryun I'm 30 as well and I loved this show growing up, fantastic and different animation and I always loved Paddington more than than pooh, I guess I always found him more delightful and comical than Pooh. lol
Now I realise this is... well, cool. Just because of black/white backgrounds, 2D hand-drawn people and model Paddington. That's quite striking and contradicting.
I'm just art and design student after all. xD Might be typical for students gushing over children's programme.
Btw, the narrator, Michael Horden, did the voice of Gandalf in the BBC audio version of Lord of the Rings, and also the narration of the movie, Watership Down.
I fell in love with Paddington in grade school..they used to show us films of him. I have been looking on Amazon forever trying to buy a copy. Thank you for posting so I can share with my kids!
I have this as my phone ringtone and it makes everyone smile when I get a call. I'm a huge fan of Paddington - eternally optimistic and doesn't let much beat him... we could all learn a lot from him!
First glimpse of Paddington in the early 80's here in a remote SW Texas town....Always remembered the music and opening of this Nickelodeon era cartoon clip. LOVE Paddington ALWAYS. Paddington collector here too.
