There's no techical reason why iPodTouch/iPhones could not be great PDA's out of the box, except Apple bein A#al. Thats like selling a notebook with half the keybord keys disabled unless you get an app and the other half being available only if its hacked. You want to use the F key? Theres an app for that. It cant even transfer your music/video/photo files BACK to a computer, or rather it can but it wont, you need an app for that basic feature.

firstly its a phone not a pda, pda is more expensive and more like a pc of course pda is faster you tool

secondly copy and paste function DOES exist it even has alot of plug-ins, you can get it from cydia you idiot

it works for notepad, apps (eg. games) and even safari i.e can copy and paste internet info onto notepad or email

there are mods that give you options of landscape aswell

every complaint that idiot made can be done with 3rd party apps

My PalmPilot Personal (circa 1997) did all of these things.

Unfortunately, it didn't come in a trendy-looking case and didn't have a little apple on the back, so it's still inferior in the eyes of Apple's customers.

they gave the camera the zoom function, copy and paste, and video camera option before a app maker finally decided to create a

video camera function and zoom function...but these 3rd party apps existed WAYYY before those were made. The 3rd party ones are actually better with more options

I have a Palm TX and I love it. It does everything I want and more. I can't believe that you can't cut'n'paste on an Iphone. Yes the interface looks like a win 3.1 throw back, but at least you can change it. Even make it look like an Iphone. Plus the IR port is great for replacing all of your TV, Hi-Fi etc remotes.
