One thing I like about Darkthrone (apart from their killer music) is that they 're seem very cool, simple and funny guys -this aspect is setting them apart from that bunch of "serious bad" and humorless rockstars. And imagine that Darkthrone are one of the most influencial names in Norwegian and worldwide BM scene:)

I think the original studio was a Kenmore Refrigerator not too sure. That would explain why their sound was so cold on the earlier albums. Their sound is a little warmer now. Waka Waka Waka!!!!!!!!!!

Darkthrone couldn't continue in the vein of the Unholy Trinity, their albums after the classics and up to Sardonic Wrath were really boring, and I really like their new aggressive sound. The best part is they aren't concerned at all with whether the metal community likes them or not!

There was a general drop in quality after Panzerfaust (which is hugely underrated), but I think Hate Them and Sardonic Wrath are fucking great, and the last two albums are astounding in my opinion. They could never replicate the classics and I'm glad they never tried to, as you say they dont care, and they are all the better for it.
