Instead of the other older day rock bands spewing out the same pablum in their older years...you have the greatest rock vocalist of all time going his own way...and with what class! He has nothing to prove and does what he loves....what an example for the others. You are becoming immortal Robert....and thank you for all the memories! I commend you for not just doing a Led Zep reunion after reunion. Love your new stuff!
With this type of backing band how could Robert Plant NOT re-interpret or otherwise do something different with the Led Zeppelin songs? Is he supposed to be his own tribute band? Of course were he playing with Jimmy Page we'd have more "regular" live versions. THIS ROCKS!!!!
@PaintedSidewalk He has it touched up I am sure. But not with highlights or full blown coloring. His trademark is his flowing hair. And he wont let that go to hell for damn sure lol.
I love seeing artists evolve and refuse to stagnate.....look at groups like the Beach Boys who keep re-hashing the same ol' stuff...great music Robert, and thanks for not bowing to comercial influences that scream for areana rock schlock.
Look, i love Robert Plant and lot's of reinventions he did of Zeps tunes, but he COULDN'T recreate the main riff! The original one had such a hipnotic/loop thing and now it's gone. It's like, recreating kashmir or something.
@BeakerArk Buddy Miller (guitar and vocals) & Byron House (bass) are on the right of Marco Giovino (percussion) [left side of video], and Darrell Scott (vocals, mandolin, guitar, accordion, pedal, lap steel and banjo) & Patty Griffin (vocals and guitar) are on the left of Marco [right side of video]…and everyone knows who Robert is :)
@twowheelsgood28 Yeah would be good if Roy and Robert would do something together...
And I know what you mean (songwise)...And Cyndi Lauper also just did an amazing Blues Set in berlin from her hereby recommended > Memphis Blues ALBUM < . All good whiteys get to the black original blues in the nearer or farer end ....all Blues musicians ;)
Awesome. Patti is the wife of the also brilliant vocalist Michael McDonald.GOOGLE her and read what she's been through. Amazing story of love, survival and God's blessings.
@BGirlJessi You're right...I'm wrong...My Bad. I got her confused with Amy Holland...who is married to Michael McD...and has been battling cancer. Sorry again. P.S. I agreee...I love Robert and Patty together.

Thank you! The BBC website won't let me watch their version, says it's not available in my area. ?? I live in the US, not on Mars.
Yours is better anyhow, I feel like I was there in the audience. :-)

I think Robert Plant is a class act. 1. He could have brought the band out
and done a bunch of cover versions of Led Zep tunes. The fact that he had
the temerity to redo these songs is a testament to his vision and integrity.
Hats off to Robert (Percy) and to Roy Harper as well.
