i hate when people crop the dogs ears/tails i think its fucked up and brutality if your looking for a dog that can protect you it dont need to look convincing all you need is to know it will and can protect you even tho it dont look mean you dont want everyone who looks at the dog to be scared you just want them to know not to fuck with you or it will fuck them up and a cane corso will do exactly that and it will never back down from any fight it will protect or die trying no matter the case

I agree with you, I don't like those practices. I bought my dogs in professional breeders in France and cropping the tale of a Cane Corso is in the pedigree. But as I said, you're no longer allowed to do that. And personally, I think it's better that way!

@ToastPP Dogo Argentino is a dog meant to have their years cropped. Dogo Argentino race was designed to lack sensitiveness on the facial muscles so the dogs can lodge and endure bites and chews from pumas and boars. That lack of sensitiveness on the facial muscles also impedes the dogs from raising they ears properly and therefore they should be cropped

@lilshortay1723 , the cropping ears and docking tails practice was and is implemented by farmers, and with good reason. Many countries still have wild predators, and a guard used to deter and, or combat against predators will have a better chance if their ears are cropped and tail is docked, and also with a spiked collar.

Although the Cane Corso could be used as a flock guardian, they are mostly used as an estate guardian and therefore don't require the ears cropped and tail docked.

Not to hurt it. And same deal with their tales, although some people do it because of how damn powerful their tales are, and that it wont go around wacking things with it's tale. So don't think it's fucked up. When it's for the dog's safety.

Is he agressive with males?

Must not know to much about other breeds like the Dogo or American Bulldog. The AB hold all records in weight pulling and the strongest bite ever recorded is from a bull mastiff. I like pits but saying their tenacity accompanying and strength is unmatch is a little far fetched. Dogos are breed to hunt pumas ALONE. they will single handedly kill the puma and drag it back to the village to prove its kill. you find me a pit that will take a puma down and bring it back to you

Marcel (the cane corso) is still young but very brave and his barking is really loud........ and not agressive at all with human so I would say the dogo.
