can someone help me...i can't get the third THICK panel on. Ugh so frustrating..first of all, i live on the second floor with no elevator so bringin it up was a pain, and i had to assemble it alllll by my little self, and now this. lol i just liked it so much.
I just assembled three pieces that I bought from Ikea. The sofa required three days, two days for the entertainment center, and two days for the dresser. I understand that Ikea in Swedish means "drive you crazy!" The shelves on the entertainment center don't fit (because they are too long) and next time I will buy something already assemblied and that will last longer. I don't care what it costs. Maintaining sanity is more important!
@ugaworldtraveler Not sure how to respond. I realize that the instructions can me a bit daunting but 7 days to build 3 pieces seems out of sorts. The only reason for pieces ever being "wrong" in my experience is that the peices got mixed up. If you identify and group all the pieces before hand it helps to keep track and a the key is the holes in the panels, I find that to be the easiest way to ensure I'm using the correct pieces in the correct place.
I've just assembled two of these by myself today. Here is a trick that helped me a lot: At 0:37 I tilted it vertically so that the shelf is lying on its side. This way gravity is on your side and helps you fit in the larger panels.
I used a Canon SD870is and the native time-lapse feature on the camera (in video mode). Set to 30 second intervals. Imported into iMovie '08 on Mac OSX 10.5.6
Thank you for posting! I'll be putting this together this weekend and your video is a great reference tool.

You are awesome for posting this! I was a little nervous about starting to assemble mine, which is only the 4 x 4 so smaller, now I feel confident.

Well done!! I did too read about how it takes 3 people but I don't see why it would now that you have demo'd it. Thanks a lot :)
BTW, love the dog taking a peek at what you're doing but not actually stepping in the middle and being a nuisance. Well behaved dog FTW :)

Cool!
What software did you use to do the timelapse, and what was your interval and frames / sec?
