In 2004 I kept seeing these guys in little birds flying over Baghdad when I first got there. I kept seeing SUV's going to and fro. So I asked the guys we were relieving (1st Armored Div) who they were, and they said Blackwater. I never had a negative experience when I've ran in to them in Iraq, sometimes on my FOB. Had some interesting chats and more than one occasion told when I got back to the States and out of the military, I should join up with them. I didn't want to. My war was done.
