@dgelevators1 The original copy was taken off of YouTube because the uploader was reorganizing his channel. I put this movie back online (as "Det Plotsliga Stoppet") so those people who missed it would have a copy to watch.
I think a crash helmet would be a benefit for driving a car like this, especially if it had a face guard to protect your mouth & teeth from serious damage & injury. Medium & larger cars are much better for crash protection with proper seat & shoulder belts, anti-lock brakes, & airbags. Take Care.
@KW1689 Helmets put the neck at risk of injury by increasing the weight of the head. However, in this car, I do think a helmet would be a good thing as the benefits (less risk of head injury) outweigh the risks. This car's safety is 20 years outdated by today's standards... a newer car would be much safer to say the least.
Ouch! This Ford Sierra did not do so well in this crash test. The steering wheel goes into the test dummy's face in the one shot of this video. Take Care.
if i recall correctly they tested a BMW in the same conditions and got similar results

@KW1689 This car was typical on safety for the 1980s. Results:
50 kph: Survivable - Moderate Injury
70 and 90 kph: Fatal
