If this song is in E major, then why is there a D chord in the song? I don't understand. Isn't D# in the key of E major?

@NathanRyanAllen in music, you don't have to follow the scale/key/mode your in perfectly, many progressive,classical,and neoclassical songs do this. Judas Priest's song metal meltdown, for example, is in E minor and has chromatism and the intro solo has diminished parts in it, and neither of those are in the E minor scale.
