I don't get why people go on about how they've "changed". First off, a band has to change at some point in their career, it's called growing up... it's normal process, plus no one wants to do the same thing over and over. Secondly, wtf ! Their music hasn't changed that much, to me they still make pretty much the same kind of stuff as what everyone's calling "old ATL", they've stuck to the same genre, it's just that their songs don't sound the exact same, which is a GOOD thing.

Personally I think this is one of the best songs on what is a very good album. Even if it doesn't sound like them it's understandable that they would want to mix the styles up to have some variety and it worked really well here imo.
