To me this is the worse case of animal abuse this horse was going to win the race without being whipped the whole length of the stretch are you kidding me. WAKE UP! No whips should be allowed in North Amercian Horse Racing its 2010 not 1910.
The whip was only there to encourage the colt. A horse can't even feel his own leg being broken because of the adrenaline, much les then a tap of the whip. Besides, its really only used because of the sound it makes.

Also doesn't that mean you don't need whips since you barely need to hit the horses to win a race right???.
