Hello, my grandmother lived on Montgomery Street at the time of his historic visit to Poughkeepsie. There were houses on the street at the time. Before Eastman Towers was built. I vividly recall her tellin the family that she had shook his hand!! Thank You sooooo much for this wonderful video!! God Bless!
The sign in the movie reads "ThinKennedy", repeating the letter K in the words "ThinK" and "Kennedy". There was not a band present when RFK visited, I dubbed that into the soundtrack. Its very typical of American "political" music. RFK had 11 children, some of whom grew up into public servants.
I grew up in Dutchess County and was 9 years old. Poughkeepsie, the county seat of Dutchess. RFK, Jr., what would it have been like to have him as a President.
Why put a music over the clip, especially when Mr. Robert Kennedy is speaking?
