  • Why put a music over the clip, especially when Mr. Robert Kennedy is speaking?

Is there any other clip that I can see which does not shake as much and is clear?

  • Pretty cool!! I live just outside Poughkeepsie

  • amazng. wow.

  • this is why I love youtube because there is so much history and interaction with those who are apart of history..sometimes if your fortunite you may run into the very people...

  • Hi:

Loved that video too. I grew up on Columbia Street and was also there that day. I was age 12 at the time and rode over there on my bike along with a bunch of other kids from the neighborhood. Thanks for saving that and posting it.

  • Hello, my grandmother lived on Montgomery Street at the time of his historic visit to Poughkeepsie. There were houses on the street at the time. Before Eastman Towers was built. I vividly recall her tellin the family that she had shook his hand!! Thank You sooooo much for this wonderful video!! God Bless!

  • Is the badge supposed to read THIN KENNEDY? He was the thinnest of the trio, wasn´t he?

Is the brass music typically US?

Pity for J & R FK. What do Robert´s then kids do? There are 8 of them, I remember.

  • The sign in the movie reads "ThinKennedy", repeating the letter K in the words "ThinK" and "Kennedy". There was not a band present when RFK visited, I dubbed that into the soundtrack. Its very typical of American "political" music. RFK had 11 children, some of whom grew up into public servants.

  • I grew up in Dutchess County and was 9 years old. Poughkeepsie, the county seat of Dutchess. RFK, Jr., what would it have been like to have him as a President.

  • This footage is a real treasure! I even told the Drudgereport about it.

  • Thank you!

  • Thanks for sharing this wonderful memory

  • Someone told me this is where it was supposed to be when it came back and then how funny the weok red car?

  • Fascinating stuff. It looks like Oliver Stone has been trying to copy your camera work.

What kind of President would he have been? He would have been elected in '68 don't you know. For starters Watergate would be just another hotel.
