They would be the same with the same kind of optimization... but Bethesda doesn't care at all because now the game is old, in 2005/06 it sold what he had to, and now it has no more space on the market, so it would be wasted time to improve it.
360 version of Ob. suffers a bit of popups, but nothing dramatic, this happens because ps3 version is HDD optimized, while 360 version has been programmed with the arcade model of the console in mind, so it make a great use of the cache.
Yet, this game has been in production for years (prior to it release date). You can assume that testing was done during that time. Regardless, each system (developers) had enough time to make it good.
No doubts there, this is one of my favorite games. I'm just saying that since the 360 version came out sooner, the PS3 had more testing time and updates.
Also i like to point out the Draw distance: PS3 does not load like 360 version and the trees in 360 look more dull than the Ps3 version HDR lighting in 360 isn't real and Ps3 is Handling at full 128 bit HDR lighting also the ATI chipset in 360 is at 10 mb Dram and PS3 is GDDR 4 i believe and can handle textures more purely and faster = more framerates I believe 360 is at 30 Frames and ps3 is at 60+ frames The processor operate at 3.2 GHZx3 360 and 3.2 GHZx7 even Core2quad QX9800 can beat em all.

Got a better idea!!! first buy the xbox 360, it doesnt cost much comparate to the ps3. Then in 2 years or little more buy the ps3 because his price would be less in that time. And buy a PS3 game if it appears in blue ray format to separate one for your self before there all are sold out.

Both consoles show great graphics but it seems the PS3 has less lag than the 360 version did. It makes sense since the PS3 is very powerful. The shield also looks more detailed on the PS3 as well as the old man in the beginning.
actually the PS3 version is better because it is in ultra quality and the Xbox 360 version is in High quality. I have a Quad core computer and checked the 360 is Identical to High quality and Ps3 is identical to Ultra quality.... Case closed... And I like the gameplay of all but get bugged by the lag in the 360 version.

i read in an interview that ps3 has optimimaztions that the x-box doesn't and the developers were able to take more advantages of the game on ps3 because of that. plus i prefer ps3 controllers to x-box controllers.

Keep in mind that the PS3 version came out a YEAR later than the 360 version. So of course the 360 is going to have a bit more stuttering in-between cities. The PS3 doesn't have that because the developers were able to tweak the game to better suit the PS3. If they had spent a year on updating the graphics on the 360, than they would look the same.
Also, this must have been pre-patch. After the patch was released, I hardly noticed any slowdowns on the 360.
I can't believe that people bitch at the game on the 360 version because of the loading area thing. Seriously, it takes less time to load up on the 360, the textures are more sharp and impacted by lighting, and the 360 has virbrate and tons of downloadable content available on the marketplace.

I think the ps3 version looks better the 360 looks darker but that doesnt matter you can chane the brightness settings what matters is detail and I think ps3 wins at that too.
to be honest i don't like the PC version I've got it on PC and Xbox 360 and i have to say the xbox looks better! And yes i've got a good graphic card Nvidia 7900GTX 512mb. And even then it still doesn't look good. and on PC it crashes sometimes.

Both consoles show great graphics but it seems the PS3 has less lag than the 360 version did. It makes sense since the PS3 is very powerful. The shield also looks more detailed on the PS3 as well as the old man in the beginning.

Guys look between 1:22 and 1:30. The xbox320 had to load textures. The PS3 didnt.
So..I'd go with the PS3 if you had the money.

If you dont see, when ureil septim talks to him in the prison the 360 version looks way better and detailed then the ps3 septim.
the enviorment on the ps3 look slightly better then the 360. (but remember the brightness on the ps3 is increased)

actually the PS3 version is better because it is in ultra quality and the Xbox 360 version is in High quality. I have a Quad core computer and checked the 360 is Identical to High quality and Ps3 is identical to Ultra quality.... Case closed... And I like the gameplay of all but get bugged by the lag in the 360 version.

The difference is actually pretty big :o .. But guess it's mostly just the lighting. Because really, no one can say that they see a difference in the amount of details, by looking at this video. Youtube clearly isn't meant for comparing graphics.

i read in an interview that ps3 has optimimaztions that the x-box doesn't and the developers were able to take more advantages of the game on ps3 because of that. plus i prefer ps3 controllers to x-box controllers.

the only reason the ps3 is better is because the first came out for the 360 which meant that the creators brushed it up while were playing on the 360 and put it for the ps3 later if the 360 got it last it would have looked better two

i own a 360, and i think they look the same, the ps3 has a little better lighting though. but still 360 is the better GAMING SYSTEM. if u want a system with a lot of extras get ps3 but if u want a great system for multiplayer/online gaming/ better games get a 360

Keep in mind that the PS3 version came out a YEAR later than the 360 version. So of course the 360 is going to have a bit more stuttering in-between cities. The PS3 doesn't have that because the developers were able to tweak the game to better suit the PS3. If they had spent a year on updating the graphics on the 360, than they would look the same.
Also, this must have been pre-patch. After the patch was released, I hardly noticed any slowdowns on the 360.

I can't believe that people bitch at the game on the 360 version because of the loading area thing. Seriously, it takes less time to load up on the 360, the textures are more sharp and impacted by lighting, and the 360 has virbrate and tons of downloadable content available on the marketplace.

i have a 360 myself and i am pretty sad about the loading area and the spliting screen loading times and the when it loads for u to go somewhere, it takes forever! I really liked it on the 360 but if i were to decide to play it without interuption then yes i would go for the ps3....but id rather do it on the 360 lol

Pc is way better!!! NO loading in areas... Why? because It caches the texture before it touches it... but ram is eaten up even more though...

1. same graphics... you see what you wanna see.
2. the loading in middle of gameing has nothing to do with the consol but the game. they could just have ade a longer start loading.
3. ps3 is probadly better than xbox 360 because it came out after. "the new is normally the best".
4.the one who made this is probadly ps3 fan look in comments.
5.the brightness is lower on xbox 360 screen witch can be setted higher in options.
6. stop wasteing time on watching witch is best. play on it instead.

I think the ps3 version looks better the 360 looks darker but that doesnt matter you can chane the brightness settings what matters is detail and I think ps3 wins at that too.

to be honest i don't like the PC version I've got it on PC and Xbox 360 and i have to say the xbox looks better! And yes i've got a good graphic card Nvidia 7900GTX 512mb. And even then it still doesn't look good. and on PC it crashes sometimes.
