I love this video alot!!! dolly is awesome!!! I had the privilage of meeting DOLLY personally 3 years ago in Phila. She is extremely a pretty woman and extremely tiny. She is an Angel.. Does anybody have the cma awards on tape from 1975 and 1976 when DOLLY won female vocalist of the year. Please post it.

Both of you hit the nail right on the head. I am a die-hard fan of classic country. Then again, classic country is the only country. And yes, music should be about how you sound not how you look! Today it is just about who has the strongest sex appeal, and not how they sound.

I'm sorry congrats to Dolly but how in the hell are you gonna have a nominee up there and not be the winner, you can tell he's disappointed...just not right....and he SHOULD have been EOY that year, that was when he really caught fire and should be in the HO, no disrespect to Dolly but Ronnie should have won

Ronnie Milsap was Entertainer of the Year the previous year, in 1977 (and deservedly so). I think in 1978 it was a no-brainer that Dolly was the choice, with her huge crossover hits, "Here You Come Again", "Two Doors Down", "Heartbreaker", etc., She and Willie Nelson were literally the hottest entities in country music (and Willie would win the next year). It was sort of awkward that Ronnie, himself a nominee, was presenter. If he'd won, was he supposed to have presented to himself?

Especially nice that Dolly thanked her manager Sandy Gallin and her record producer Gary Klein (did the great "Here You Come Again" and "Heartbreaker" albums). Is that Dolly's mother and father sitting next to her?
