  • yeah!

  • Great work!

  • Tal Wilkenfeld is awesome... U covered it well!

  • Warwick bass guitar?

  • Great Job!! Keep it up!!

  • fingers are "alien lyke"

  • Your boobs aren't as nice as Tal's....

  • That´s very good, man. Skillz!;)

  • @:49 on.... Nice embellishments. Tal is really awesome and her melodic lines make you sing every-note in a slightly different way.

I am half way through the solo BC, the first track on this record. hard stuff man.....

  • bravo! respect. just keep on plavin', music IS the key.

  • the sound of a bas guitar is os relaxing and cool :)

  • Very nice....looks like you know what you're doing. Could you explain some of the time signatures going on here? Thanks in advance.

  • what a great everything!! yes! everything

    the bass (zon sonus)

    tal wilkenfeld

    &your palying!!

    don't stop dude!

  • WHAT is sleazay filth?

  • damn good sense of rhythm. gotta love a bass player who can groove. I really like colin edwin from porcupine tree

  • try something new,,,,,,explore your own mind don,t bbbeeeeeeee a sheep i alway,s say.

  • Fine playing!

  • Nice playing.

  • nolobede now I don't feel like I was the only one looking at the nipple flair on her bass .. LMAO

BTW if you can play slap funk with your penis, I'll buy your next bass for you .. ROFL

  • @TreyLutrash - damn I guess I am getting a free bass.

  • You can play ok, but she's cuter and she hangs her right breast over the top of the bass. It's not the same without it.

  • using your penis to listen to music is only going to hurt your own creativity

    be careful!

  • It's not so much listening as when I use it to actually play the bass... now THAT is creative.

  • come on thats funny right there

  • I know right?... some people just don't HAVE a sense of humor. I bet Tal would laugh at it. Its not like she doesn't know she does that. Nobody appreciates her work more than I do.

I play bass, and I don't have breasts (a little man boob maybe) so I can't hang a breast over the thing, so excuse me for noticing. What's better than listening to her play, AND getting to watch too ?

  • @plastichrist I can pick up satelite radio with mine

  • I appreciated the joke and combated the thumbs down with a thumbs up

  • @Jesusplant

Thanks... some people need to laugh a little more.

  • Good...

hey do you have tabs? plz^___^

  • this song isnt hard...and stop using tabs...use your ear...

  • yes.. i agree..use your ear

  • Yes...Damn it!!

    EEAARRSS!!!

  • You do a great job covering this tune man.

    Did Tal write that? Wow.

  • Keep playin'! You've got the stuff! Great job.

  • We need some more Tal stuff!!!

  • you must be gay if you give a shit about a t-shirt..

  • Thats your thought :)

  • You guys can't see the winky face he put up there? :|

It is actually an ugly shirt though. kind of. :P But kick ass bass playing.

  • his right hand looks not that good

  • Where are the videos of you playing?

  • his videos are right next to his stash of gay porn videos

  • You're probably right, but who cares, don't you like this composition of Tal's? I freaking love it!

  • it is awesome. i am going to buy her music real soon. i don't even like jazz but i can really get into her stuff

  • meglio lei vestita che tu nudo....

.....ma neanche se ti presto un paio di corde io pollogno...

  • Awesome :)

  • Nice job, nice bass to....play on bro

  • what u have to think about tho is that someone mightv been thinking of buying a bass and then someone in their family died...

they would think about that everytime they saw a bass...so this video would make them sad...

    thats not very nice

  • sick bass line man. i also like ur bass. is it a 5 or 6 and what brand? i couldnt see the strings because of the quality. great job

  • 5 string warwick

  • its a Zon Sonus 5 string

  • Well played :) Tal Wilkenfeld is really good, hope she'll get even better in future (she's just 23). You'd better do something about your right hand wrist position, unless you don't wont to have serious health problems.

  • Look at it this way: His left-hand is great. It would have been much more of a problem if he would develope CTS there.

  • I don't really have much of a problem with either these days. I just don't play enough to do SERIOUS damage. Not to mention I'm conscious of the whole thing. Take care.

  • Thanks for replying. That was sent from love, as the music brings out. Just dig and so much is possible.

  • dude play something good this is boreing and isnt getting u anywhere

  • Comment removed

  • the bass is not easier to learn on guitar, yes there are less strings (usually but you can get 6 string and even more on bass) but unlike guitar which is almost always played with a plec a bass can be played with many different techniques and to master alot of these takes a hell of alot of practice slap and popping for expample takes a while to get the accuracy to hit the string etc, so its debatable wheather guitar is harder i personally dont tihnk so o and tht convo bout flea, he is the best!!

  • As a bass player I can tell you that it's FAR more difficult to move the strings and your left hand around the fingerboard than it is to do so on the guitar. It's more than twice the distance and the strings are WAY heavier!

  • i wuldnt say its far more difficult the strings are heavier yh and a hell of alot thicker aswell the thinest string on a bass is thicker then the thickest on a guitar but i dnt think the size of the string makes a big dif to bass and guitar but yh gettin ya hand round a bass fret board is hard there much bigger then guitar ones spesh if u hve a bass wit more then 4 strings

  • I wouldn't consider the bass easier to learn than a guitar or something. It was just probably an easy transition for her cause Tal is dam talented.

  • wayne krantz is the man

  • She looks so young in here compaired to her other videos. But what a player, its very rare to see a female bass player especially at such a young age, definately one to watch!

  • Any plans on doing more of her stuff? I would love to see more. Great job.

  • Must buy an anorak..

    Great jazz bass..

    Like Brecker nearly.

  • Cool,,,,,,, I would not call her a prodigy though. She is an adult. It is like calling John Bonham a prodigy. Save that for kids. Peace on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • shes 22...

  • she was 16 when she started, and was composing on bass in a matter of months, it's not completely far fetched to call her a prodigy, is it?

  • No, not in my thoughts. I was an adult at 16, lived on my own. Had no choice. I played decent (nothing like her) at 13 but still, a prodigy is a child. She was an acomplished guitarist first. Bass is two strings less. She rocks. Enough said. Peace on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • You're absolutely right. Because there are less strings, that makes the instrument easier to learn. Yeah, and anyone who plays a bass is really just someone who couldn't hack guitar, right?

  • The guitar and bass are both the same fretboard with different roles. Bass is two less strings which, in a way, gives the fretboard a simpler approach. So to go from the guitar to bass is more of a matter of developing the technique and role as opposed to learning the basis of music like a beginning musician like where's the major 9 or what the hell a arpeggio is. And as with any instrument, there's the opportunity to be unique. Count it!

  • That's not what your mama said after I banged her!

  • Good job, you've made what is known as a "Yo' Momma" joke. Now kill yourself.

  • :-)

  • ha ha! found ur comment and laughed out loud!!!!!!!!! brilliant!

  • I'm a working rhythm/lead guitarist, but I play bass for a set, and whenever else I can because it's fun (and my secret passion)! ;)

But Tal is incredible. I bow to her goddesslike ability on bass, regardless of age or sex.

I honestly think that she played Jeff's bass lines better than anyone I've ever heard, and probably better than Jeff Beck expected. Seriously. I'm a longtime Beck fan :)

... and I think I like her compositions just as much. This bass line is seriously cosmic :)

  • Good playing. Keep it up! I'm glad more girls and women are taking up bass and other stringed instruments. I've played bass since the 80s (and have since then come a long way). It was a pain being a chick player then. No one took you seriously. But the minute guys heard me play, they'd be like, "DAAMMMN!" Glad that is all changing. Good for you girl.

  • thx. the boys don't treat me fairly!

  • LOL! Anywho, great playing as always.

  • @subschool5 ...................you're a girl?

  • Australians Kick Ass At Bass.

  • Damn straight! except my videos arent the best representation...(im an aussie bass player)

  • You May Hate Him, I Don't Know Lots Of Bass Players Do For Some Reason, But Flea Is Australian. He's Not The Best But He's My Favorite!

  • I think the hate for Flea is a kind of counter-reaction to all the hype he gets.

80% of all non-bass players seem to think that he is by far the best bassist in the world, to which a lot of bass players (myself included) disagree.

Not that he isn't cool for maintaining relative complexity in bass lines of pop-music. He gets my respect for that and I find him to be a nice ambassador for the bass as he is exposed to a pretty large crowd. But the greatest in the world? Not to me.

  • No, He's definitely not the best but as I said he's my favorite. After you reach a certain level on an instrument it's not really about who's better or who's best. It's just who you like the most.

  • That is so true. I've never actually thought about it that way. nice insight.

  • well said. flea may not be technically be the greatest bassist ever, but i refer to him as such, because id rather watch him play rather than anyone else

  • Nice Job on this and the Jeff Beck Stuff, I'm rarely impressed by woman musicians but you have it girl, thanks for the posts, Oaky

  • Fantastic :)

  • Wow, I find that hard to believe. Sorry for your experience.

  • what bass is that man?

  • Zon I believe.

  • Nice job, man...that Tal Wilkenfeld is one great bassist. I wouldn't mind buying her album!

  • Left handed technique is dynamite..very fluid-like ...how long have you been playing?

  • Thank you! My left hand has been playing off and on for 11 years.

  • Would you like to meet for lunch? I play piano by ear. Boogie/jazz type they tell me. Since I saw you on Crossroads you were very impressive.

  • Nice, great left and right hand technique, very clean!

  • very nice!!!!!

  • muy bueno!!

  • Nice work dude!

  • Tal is a girl lol

  • Oh sorry I didn't realise someone else was playing it

  • lol @ quackstud :D

  • LA " Marcus Miller !! GRANDIOSE LA MOME !!!

  • u got that shit down to a tee. nice work

  • Is that a Zon Bass?

  • Yea, Joe Zon should pay me with how many views he gets from these :) I've been asked many times now.

  • Especially Unison Sax and Guitar or keyboard... it's a trademark.. WR and Spyro Gyra hehehe!

and the slow song (with brushes) sounds like Gary Burton and friends but without him, the first song of the album it's 100% W. Krantz Tal she's my hero!

    Dude, are you in NYC?

  • Thanks for your comment ! I currently reside in Las Vegas :( I'm a warm weather guy

  • Great Stuff!

Any luck on "Truth be Told" I still can't get it.
