brings back memorys winning competions back in 84/85ish classic tune. such a class tune for old school break dancing. I remember shit like herbie hancock, rock steady crew, grand master flash furious five. ahh the good old days.
For those of you who were not on the planet in the 1980's you should read Martha Cooper's the Hip Hop Files 1979 - 1984 to understand why Hip Hop Culture is where it is now, because it's because of the early pioneers that todays stars are where they are at.If you can get this book do so it's the definitive book of that era in New York.
or another good book to read is CAN'T STOP, WON'T STOP by Jeff Chang. It explains hip hop & the 4 elements from its inception in the early 70's. It even goes to the lengths of detailing the bronx gangs that ruled the bronx before Kool Herc started the party scene, soon followed by Afrika Bambaataa & Grandmaster Flash.... A great read & one alot of young so-called "hip hop heads" should read to learn the real history.
This is the tune that pushed hip hop to the forefront of popular culture. Yes, there were others that helped but this is the one that really kicked the whole thing off.
Nueva York, cuna del breakdance, es esta musica y su grupo africa bambaataa, es un clasico del breakdance, la de la pelicula BEATSTREET, ok, men piz, loko
