  • Even tho its impossible to term with the agreement, it would help you stall time for a moment.

  • More like a paradox its like a legal loophole.

  • KILL THE ROBOT!!!! WE NEED A PULSE PLASMA RIFLE!

  • There really is no paradox here. The Robot is lying and has no intention of returning the cupcakes.

  • how do you know that a robot witch likely does not digest human food cant give the cupcakes back afeter it eats them.

  • id eat her ; )

  • god damn it!

she gets nomnommed whatever i do!

    this makes me feel powerless..

    guys, dont play

  • A1 special effects! sarcasm paradox...:)

  • IT'S A TRAP!

  • ENGLISH PLEASE

  • Here's a good paradox: THIS GAME.

  • you are losing and winning at your own game there is no paradox

  • what?

  • he can return them if he throws up the cupcakes

  • @DrMeh3 or shits them out.

  • I guessed he would return it to avoid a paradox.

  • The cake is a lie.

  • This chic should get together with Alanis Morisette so they can misunderstand things we learned in middle school together.

Being a robot, it's not possible for him to digest the cupcakes- which would be the real problem.

And even if he 'ate' them, he could give them back.

And there's no cupcakes in that box.

Why didn't she just do the baby and crocodile?

  • Half-ass Solution- say the robots going to eat the cupcakes, then let the robot take more than one of them to eat.

Since the robot never specified which cupcakes, as long as it takes more than one you still guessed correctly, and it will be required to return the others.

  • All her cupcakes are belong to the robot

  • IT'S A TRAP!

  • ROBOT IS A SPY!!!

  • The robot eats the cupcakes and because it is not human (like a fridge or something) it gives them back to molly. That way the paradox is solved.

  • fail editing at 0:40 and the sound at 0:46 is from the Ibeer application for the Iphone

  • wat

  • IT'S A TRAP!

  • It's a trap!

  • molly goes down on the robot

  • PS: That is to say, he can't give them back if he eats them, but he can still eat them if he gives them back.

  • SIT A PART

  • If the robot eats her first then eating the cupcakes would reunite the cupcakes with Molly, giving them back to her. Problem solved.

  • this thing repeats again and again...

  • @shahherwan93 That's THE paradox

  • @phantasMoon69 oh no.... :D

  • funny I looked up paradoxes the other day

    ps

    I wish I could eat molly ;D

  • dumb

  • Instead of "it's a trap, her reply should have been something along the lines of "That's right, you can't eat them if you give them back. However, since you said you'd give them back if I guessed right, and you admit that I guessed right, you have no choice but to not eat, and return, those cupcakes."

And don't trust that a robot's logic is always infallible. ;)

  • @kainthedestroyer yeah but if the robot returns the cupcakes then molly is wrong, and the robot shall not return the cupcakes... the paradox is apparent.

That's why I chose 'the robot will return the cupcakes' when I first did this, hoping that I'd be right and it would return them... but I guess I was wrong. The other way was a lose-lose situation, or a paradoxical situation.

  • @Dragon0007 If Molly was right, and the robot was going to eat the cupcakes, then Molly wouldn't be wrong when the robot returned them- the robot still intends to eat the cupcakes, they're just back in Molly's hands again. A paradox represents a situation that causes an issue/problem to repeat or that has no end. This clearly does have an end- Molly's right, the robot gives them back, and then eats Molly AND the Cupcakes.

Not a paradox, just a really cruel game.

  • @kainthedestroyer I see what you mean. But I think that giving them back and then eating molly and the cupcakes was not one of the original options. Obviously, the crocodile paradox is not something which has real life applications, its just a game of semantics, and in this particular case 'giving back the cupcakes' is meant to mean 'the robot does not eat the cupcakes' even after giving them back. So, giving back the cupcakes and then eating them is not part of the problem. Nice try though.

  • You can't have your (cup)cake and (let a robot) eat it, too.

  • i want to eat molly....out.....at a nice restaurant!

  • jealous of the robot ... i want to eat molly :(

  • Woah =D Refrain from playing, and you win xD

  • lol crocodiles stealing babies!!Ahhh everyone to the party van o.O

  • ._.

  • ITS A TRAP!!!

  • I thought these things were called "J-RPG"

  • she got eaten! NO!

  • watch?v=piVnArp9ZE0

  • If I were a Crocodile, I would EAT Molly's Robot baby like a big ol Cake!

  • ITS A TARP!!

  • I say this is all a trap to increase rocketbooms views

  • The robot shall return the cupcakes after it has eaten them.

  • But it's not a legitimate paradox: The robot promised to return the cupcakes "if" it's intentions were predicted- Molly got it right, therefor the robots original intent cannot be followed through. It must return the cupcakes.

  • @kainthedestroyer it did not say what he intends to do it says what will he do if he gives them back then she was wrong

  • @theendofit You missed my point. It said "If you guess what I will do I will give them back" Providing two distinct results: If she guesses that it's intent was to eat the cupcakes, she would be correct and receive them back- because the robot hadn't already eaten the cupcakes, and assuming it can keep it's word, it has no choice but to return them.

  • @kainthedestroyer if he gives them back, she was wrong, she said he was going to eat them

no where in it did it say intent it said will do

    think of it this

bob trys to kill someone and fails bob will not go to jail for murder because it was what they intended bob will go to jail for attempted murder caus it is what they did.

if a psychic says you will do something.. but instead someone stops you

making the psychic wrong, you only almost

you were asked to be the the psychic but doing stops it

  • @kainthedestroyer

Glad someone other than myself caught that.

  • @kainthedestroyer

BUT, if the robot gives them back, it would not have eaten them, so then she would have been wrong an the robot would have kept and eaten them, but then she would be correct, and that loops over and over

  • @kainthedestroyer true... she guessed what the robot's intentions were... so, technically, she was right, the robot had intentions of eating the cupcakes. the robot should give them back, and that's it. i win!

  • @kainthedestroyer Yeah, maybe, BUT its intentions were to eat them, therefore causing a paradox. But, instead of getting confused and blowing up, the robot decides to eat both the cupcakes and molly's head

  • @kainthedestroyer The paradox is: If she guessed correctly about what the robot would do with the cupcakes, it would return them to her "unharmed", so to speak. But since it was gonna eat the cupcakes, it could not return them to her, and since it could not eat the cupcakes since she guessed correctly, then her guess was NOT correct, so it gets to eat the cupcakes. But if it eats the cupcakes then she was right... Ect.

  • @kainthedestroyer not the robots intentions, but it's future. it could either a) give it or b) keep it. if it were b, the robot would have to give it away but that would mean that molly guessed wrong and would therefore not be given the cupcakes.

  • technically this is the one you dont fail at, because, it has the explanasion while the other, it does not, making the other one the real fail. epic fail on rocketboom's fault.

  • Mind = Blown

  • The cake is a lie!

  • IT'S A TRAP! BOTH OF THEM ANSWERS ARE FAIL!

  • google searches for "crocodile paradox" just went up by 10000%

  • I don't get it, the obvious solution is to go get some water and seek vengence and stomp the fuck out of that robot. Thumbs up if you would use that solution.

  • The cupcake, it's a lie!

  • So evil of rocketboom to make a loop like this on the internet. DOn't they know what happens when you divide by zero?!

  • That proves it: Molly is a cupcake.

  • Molly is so adorable :)

  • Wait, What do I do Now, in both of them I fail? Is it game over?

  • In Truth, the Robot could never eat Molly, Because she IS a Robot!

  • What would happen if Pinocchio said "My nose will now grow"?

  • when she was bouncing up and down and saying "your going to eat them" ...

I was looking at her boobs and thinking "I want to eat them"

  • Remove the Robots powerpack and you don't have a problem.

  • it doesn't matter if they are in cup form, the cake is still a lie

  • NOM!

  • This sort of reminds me of the first Pirates Of The Caribbean movie where they were never specific enough when making a deal with Barbossa.

  • THE ROBOTS A JACKASS!!!

but in paradoxes, there isn't a obvious solution. like with a crocodile, you kill it and take the babies, or in this situation, you dismantle the robot or somehow destroy it and take the cupcakes back... its not a choice, but meta-logic indicates there are more than one option, they just aren't shown

  • Actually, the robot could give the cupcakes back after eating them. Robots do not digest.

  • you fail it no matter how you go

  • Catch-22

  • ITS A TARP

  • ITS A TRAP

  • Why the hell would this usually involve crocodiles and stolen babies? Do people make deals with crocodiles saying that if they can predict what the crocodile will do with their baby they have to give it back? O_o

  • @Spironic

    only in america

  • @Stupidproductions5 Elaborate...

  • @Spironic its an old wize tale even 100's of years ago pepole understood this paradox

  • He ate the wrong HALF!

  • Are you sure?

How about a nice game of Chess?

  • damn, I can't belive some people find this as a new thing they have never seen in their lives...

    I always got it...

I mean, this situation already happened in my life and the first time it happened, I knew this stuff

  • A paradox is a paradox and it doesnt have any solution!!! even if you try the other options you'll lose anyway!

  • @Mak3Th3Darkn3ssRoCk

or there isn't a obvious solution. like with a crocodile, you kill it and take the babies, or in this situation, you dismantle the robot or somehow destroy it and take the cupcakes back...

  • @Stupidproductions5 so you are fast enof to take the babies away from a croc befor it closes its mouth.... yah right

  • No I fail it D:

  • the robot keeps on eating her head

  • however i've fall in love with this girl !

  • it's very frustrating

  • What about you eat them and then the robot eats you, hence eating the cup cakes inside you.

    Perhaps not even digested... totaly...

  • it's a trap!

  • i cant win!!! ahhh!!!!

  • oh i see, damn it!!....

it's just a homicidal robot!! - eating cupcakes was not enough, i guess he thought molly's head looked sweet enough, so chomp!!

  • There is no win?! What is the point? This is unreasonable....

  • i want to eat Molly's "cupcakes"

  • If he wanted to eat cupcakes there is no paradox so he has to take them back, no matter he cant eat them because girl predicted what does he wanted to do.

  • @marcus10 he did not say tell me what i want to do he said tell me what i WILL do witch means it has to be 100% right. so if she said youll rub them in the dirt. and then the robot rubed them in the dirt he has to give them back after doing it.

in this case she said he would eat them . and she was right but after he eats them he cant give them back.

if she said he was going to give them to her she would be just plane wrong and he would then eat them

  • @theendofit Oh please... We all know that robot cant eat anything!

  • she's screwed in any case!

  • Comment removed

  • ...

    I don't like robots anymore.

  • no..the robot is lying because he believes he wants to eat it so the terms of the agreement of giving it back was not applicable...its like putting a gun to someone's face and saying if you guess what im about to do, i wont shoot you. The person says you're going to shoot me. Then you shoot the person.

Its not a paradox...you just lied

  • @sawsee28 he is not lieing becuse he did not say tell me what i want to do he said tell me what i WILL do witch means it has to be 100% right. so if she said youll rub them in the dirt. and then the robot rubed them in the dirt he has to give them back after doing it.

in this case she said he would eat them . and she was right but after he eats them he cant give them back.

if she said he was going to give them to her she would be just plane wrong and he would then eat them

  • *cry* nooooo! bad robot!

  • @MedicoreProductions so no matter how you play this game, molly gets her head eaten by the robot anyway?

  • oMG! MOLLY NO!!

  • Actually it's neither... They'll come out someday and then can give em to her.

  • ITS A TRAP!

  • @M4N1F3570R Echoing memes makes you popular apparently...

  • DaAce96: you are going to say: "WRONG"

    Am I right or wrong?

  • @sirscutter Right

Woops, just created a paradox. I was going to say wrong, but because you guesed correctly, I had to say right. Making the correct answer false, which makes it an impossible situation.

  • @sirscutter Wrong! You were right!

  • Wait what how's this a paradox? She predicted what the robot was planning to do so the robot must return them.

  • If he eats the box he can't return them so he can't fulfill the agreement hence the paradox.

  • but if he is going to do it then he must do it it and hence he can not give them back. confusing i know :/

  • No now because of the deal he has to change his plans and give them to her. She predicted what the robot was going to do.

Man why couldn't they do the courtroom paradox it's less confusing and a better catch 22.

  • What's courtroom paradox and catch 22? Sorry if I commented this twice ^^

  • Catch 22 is basically a "you're screwed no matter what you do" kind of thing. It's based on a book. In it this guy didn't want to fly a dangerous military mission and there was a clause saying you didn't have to fly if you were crazy. Then there was catch 22 that said if you didn't want to fly for fear of your own safety you were sane and thus had to fly.

  • Courtroom paradox goes like this.

A man hires a teacher to help him become a lawyer, and agrees to pay the teacher after he wins his first case. Some time passes and he hasn't won a case and the teacher sues to get his money. What happens? (presumably if the lawyer wins, then he's won a case and thus has to pay the teacher yet the verdict just said he didn't).

  • Thx :)

  • She predicted what he would have done with the cupcakes. So by the terms of the agreement, he should give them back.

If he ate the cupcakes, and asked her to guess what he did with them to get them back... then he'd just be a jerk.

  • @theboredone he did not say tell me what i would do with them he said tell me what i WILL do witch means it has to be 100% right. so if she said youll rub them in the dirt. and then the robot rubed them in the dirt he has to give them back after doing it.

in this case she said he would eat them . and she was right but after he eats them he cant give them back.

if she said he was going to give them to her she would be just plane wrong and he would then eat them

  • was our reward jiggle?

  • (reply to this) what is the next word I'm going to say?

  • cookie

  • Light: ITZ A TRAP

  • Molly D:

  • But... why does the robot have to bite her head off at the end??? Now there's the real paradox.

  • This actually fails the requirements of being a paradox. For it to be one, all of the premises need to be true, and oppose each other. This statement made by the robot, however, is not true:

"If you can predict what I am going to do with your cupcakes, I will give them back to you."

It's not a paradox, just a robot that lies to little girls to make itself feel better about eating them.

  • What Molly says is true. Never question Molly.

  • This girl fails "it".

  • But what if its programming stated that it HAD to tell the truth? Then it'd be a paradox. But I suppose then that it wouldn't be able to say 'that's right, I'm going to eat them'.

  • @mvandemar he did not say tell me what i want to do he said tell me what I am going to do witch means it has to be 100% right. so if she said youll rub them in the dirt. and then the robot rubed them in the dirt he has to give them back after doing it.

in this case she said he would eat them . and she was right but after he eats them he cant give them back.

if she said he was going to give them to her she would be just plane wrong and he would then eat them

  • Isn't that a catch 22

  • I kept Molly safe by pressing pause.

    Not much however.

  • IT'S A TRAP!!

  • Guess what, it's a trap!

  • I have no idea what's going on.

  • But this doesn't make sense. He only said to guess what he's going to do with them, that doesn't mean he has to do it.. he can still give them back right?

  • I think its along the lines that...

What is he going to do? Going to eat them

If he returns them before he eats them then the above will become false since it changes to return them. ... ? Maybe?

I had the same doubt as you...

  • Nope. Because if he gave them back, it means he didn't eat them. If he didn't eat them, it means she guessed wrong. Which means he has to eat them. Which means she guessed right and he has to give them back. Rinse, repeat.

  • @PsyberKayos but then he would not have done what she said he was going to do meaning he could then eat them

  • @theendofit She shouldn't have said anything in the first place. He only said to guess what he's going to do with them, that doesn't mean he has to do it.. she could've even guessed without speaking, in her mind. As long as she guesses, she should be safe, and the robot should just give them back.

  • Its a TRAP!!

  • :O Oh Noooos!!

  • I don't normally think in prejudices, but I think I have figured out why this stupid shit is here...

    BLONDE!

She probably has this trick played on her all the time. It's not an interesting paradox. It's fucking stupid. Sorry, this just annoys the shit out of me. Shame on you, rocketboom.

  • ITS A TARP!

  • IT'S A TRAP!

  • Nooo, is there no way to save Molly? :(

    Stupid molly-eating robot.

  • @TechnoHeroine molly is cute. (: we should band up and make a anti-molly eating robot group.

  • yo, answer you are going to keep the cupcakes. The robot must satisfy A, then immediatly satisfy B. victory!

  • This game is H4X0R3D! (lol...)

  • Wait... you can't even win it!

  • YOU ALWAYS FAIL!!!

  • ITS A TRAP

  • I would prefer getting to watch a baby get eaten. I understand where you're coming from but it's not the best example.

  • If she guesses that the robot will eat them, her guess could be wrong by the robot's programming to give it back to her if she says those certain words.

  • You guys are more fun than a barrel of robots

  • Bounce more pls :D

  • D: you keep playing till you die!

  • @cascas2284 Yes, because it's a paradox. How is it a game if you can't win? But they call it a game. It's a crocodile paradox.
