@flexddd one way would just be (on sony vegas) go to media generators tab > solid color > drag the blue one in then edit the color and take down the opacity of it a little bit to match his, also cut the clip into small 1-3 frame pieces to make the flash

Evolution is a set of graphics and elements that are used with Adobe After Effects.

So this video was edited using Adobe After Effects(perhaps Vegas as well or maybe other programs).

Some of the graphics, like the arrows in the 0:12 are apart of the Evolution plug-in's.

He also used other plug-ins from Trapcode like Starglow, which is the blue shine effect briefly seen at 0:14, 0:32-0:33, and at 0:34.
