@TheHolyphantom when you start your computer it will give you a boot screen to choose which ever you like (windows or linux) an it should work on a netbook. just make sure there is enough hdd space.
@dylan99x3 go to the ubuntu website and download the latest iso, have your computer boot from the cd and just choose install side by side with windows. its as easy as wubi, you could burn it to a disk like i said or you magic iso i think.
@THAGaMeDaT yes you could make it kind of like a live boot CD. or just install it and choose your external hard drive from the boot menu when you start your computer.
@christian3547 whaaa? thats impossible and by the way linux is immune to windows viruses and that site is trustworthy and ive never heard of "virustotal" must be a shitty antivirus get AVG its free and comes with some really cool security featues
u dont need to go to wubi installer website, u can just and download ubuntu 9.04 livecd image and insert it when windows i running, autorun will ask u if u wanna run wubi, hit yes, it saves wubi having to download the iso and it saves you the time!
Aww maann....I spent 2 HOURS 'cause of my internet in installing Ubuntu and when it said restart,I chose to manually restart and when I rebooted it the other day and chose Ubuntu, two lines something like linux( etc. What did I do wrong.Did I had to reboot it when it said to reboot?
i downloaded the .iso file and burned the image then ran the disk...
the steps are the same as shown in your video...
And on reboot it even gives an option to run Ubuntu...
But when i select the Ubuntu OS it starts giving this wierd numbers and self runned command...
I'd love to try installing directly from the internet as shown in the video, but with a speed of aprox. 256kbps it will take around 11hrs to get it done.
Also where i live we have load shedding commonly called as power cuts.
1) To Uninstall It In Your Vista Side Go To Control Panel > Programs > Uninstall A Program. Then Once There Choose Ubuntu And Uninstall It.
2) When You Use Wubi Installer You Have To Set A Password Or It Will Not Go To The Next Step Of The Installation. Although When You Go To Ubuntu You Can Choose To Automatically Login. So You Are Not Prompted To Use Your Username And Password.
no i have a seperate video for that. the reason that this is not a virtual machine is because u have to dual boot it with ur main OS. a virtual machine runs as a program on ur operating system. if u understood that say ok lol
Well what is it that u wanted to install, if it is Ubuntu then u shouldn't worry about it. if you wanted to instal Kubuntu or Xubuntu i suggest downloading it again and then they should be there.
Just wondering, when you boot with linux does it still run windows? Also, will this work on a netbook (toshiba)?

2 Questions to you if you don't mind.
1) How do you uninstall it
2) Do you have to use password?
(you wrote Matt and then a pass, is it needed?)
