Such an incredible final battle, from start to finish. And after watching her kill Samus's surrogate child, it felt sinfully gratifying to listen to her shriek her lungs out in agony as I violently dismembered her with her own weapon.

@DejaBlue95 Actually they do. If you save them, you'll see a few tiny pixels fly out in a straight line from the exploded planet to the right of the screen. You'll see it once the planet starts settling down from its explosion. (I THINK it's just before Samus's ship appears)

i never really noticed but the music in this game sounds like something that would be heard in either metroid prime 1 or 2. but only 16 bit instead of how ever many bit the gamecube music is

Quite a bit of the Metroid Prime music was from the earlier titles. They remixed the classic songs and incorporated elements of others into different songs. If you played the original Metroid games, it just helps you appreciate the newer ones even more.

@Artificialraven Mate!You wasted a lot of missiles there!! 3 out of 4 missed!!Did you know you can shoot missiles at an angle? Missiles/super missiles perfect lands on it's head 99% of the time!! And no need to jump except for dodging attacks!!Makes things a lot faster!!

I first played this alone in my living room, late at night and without any lights on when I was about 8 years old...scared the crap out of me! I'll never, ever forget this battle/escape sequence. Probably one of, if not the most exciting game moments of my childhood!

I still feel bad that that lil metroid had to die. They should have put in an alternate ending where if you complete say a side quest, the metroid becomes 2x even what it is now, and becomes immune to the Mother Brains attacks. I'd love to see an ending of samus with it right beside her. Like a photo of it as a baby metroid, and one as it is now.

Yo man , you complicate your life on the boos.

You can just use R1 or L1 to fire the boss right in tha face instead of always jumping. A lot easier.

i prefer to jump when fighting the boss though cause it's easier to dodge her projectiles. But thats just me. About the ending with animals, what happens is you have to blast a wall during the escape and they run through it and get off the planet. However before you even do that, you have to meet them in brinstar.
