I ended up getting another D7000, it has a hot pixel as well. Called Nikon and they said they would get back to me in 1-3 business days.. that was 2 weeks ago. Only shows up in video though, so that's nice.
That doesn't look too bad at all. I have a red one on the right, but closer to the center. I've tried a few D7000's, and all of them had at least one bad pixel in video. I just think that when you have 16,000,000+ pixels, one bad one isn't the end of the world.
More importantly, my dead pixel doesn't show up in still-photos. If I shoot with the lens cap on, I still don't see any until ISO6400+, which is far too noisy for any practical use anyway
Hello, this is a wonderful camera. I owned one for 12 days - gently. However, I too encountered DEAD Pixels. I had two, a blue and a green that were very pronounced. Another thing is that the videos were choppy, jittery or flickery, whatever the terminology... it was a nightmare to open RAW images as well. I look forward to its technology improving - as well as my skill level. I can't wait to own it again.
New firmware worked like a charm!

Hi there,
please tell us your video recording settings. Does it happen on High-Iso only or even at lower Iso?
