i tried downloading firmware on hp since I read that the mac safari browser was the issue but I still get the Invalid Firmware message. I am currently running version 1.09a do I have to download all the other updates prior to the latest available?

tried doing this process...i plugged in the thumbdrive with the updated firmware and screen said "looking for firmware:... stayed like that forever.... how long does it usually reads the device?

another problem i encountered is that my IDJ2 doesnt recognize my devices... (ipod touch, thumbdrive, zune...) even my Librarian doesnt recognize them either... i tried converting audio files downloaded from i-tunes to mp3 file already... still it doesnt seem to work...

any other suggestions???

guy at sam ash music told me they have an idj2 for 599 and a demo only version for 399... any idea what this ''demo only'' version is??? are all 399 idj2's demo only? dus what hes talking about even exist??

I can't seem to get all of my songs from my ipod onto my idj2 mixer. I have 8,017 songs, but my Numark Lib says it only has 7,920 songs. How do I get all my songs ? Please help!

Do you know how to disable the demo mode. It goes if I dont touch it for 3 minutes and it can kill a party.

hey yeah its in mode I believe. It's pretty simple but you have to do it for both decks. Disable the demo - its either in utility or mode.. I forget i'll check and repost in a sec

ok if anyone is having trouble with updating it the problem is with most ppl is that they are using a mac unfotunately using safari to download this file is not going to work you must use firefox downloading it or use any PC download the file to USB if for all you Mac users are having trouble then thats your solution. If your not a MAC user then address the problem and maybe I can help you.

Hi, hope you can help me, I have trouble installing the idj2_v1.13.upg file on mi idj2. I plug the usb with only that file on it (no zip) and then keep pressing the on button til it says uts seraching for firmware and then the following message appears: Error! - invalid id firmware file /mnt/sda1/_idj2_˜1.upg.

Is the file on the root of the drive (meaning the highest level)? How far into it is it letting you get?

I did the update and now whenever I don't any buttons for like a min it will go into demo mood. How can I stop that?

That's a new setting for the retail level and to help new users learn how to use it.

You can disable it in the Mode setting somewhere I believe, or in the Utility menu. One or the other, can't remember exactly and don't have my iDJ2 out.

any of you guys having problems in updating to version 1.13? I keep getting a file not recognize error. tried re-downloading several times to no avail. event tried to rename the file to idj2_v1_13.udg as that is how the file is named on the release note, but still no dice.

What I would suggest is clearing everything off the thumb drive you're trying to use to do the update. Once it's clear, try downloading the file again, but download it to the desktop of your computer first.  Now make sure that it's a .UPG file, and not a zipped folder, and then load that .UPG file onto the empty thumb drive. If that doesn't work, let me know and we'll go from there, 'cause I do have a couple more tricks up my sleeve.

Which part are you getting an error on? Installing the Librarian software, updating the firmware, or downloading the release notes?

Because this is just a general update process, the changes will vary depending on if you're downloading the current firmware update that I just installed (1.09a), or if it's a later download. Either way, for every update there is a PDF download on the same page you get the firmware, directly underneath the download link. That PDF download is the release notes for the update, and will tell you all the changes made. Thanks for checking it out, LATER!
